Disappearing thread

I was half way through reading a thread which I think was called something like How do I have intercourse on sl. Tried to find it again and poof it seems to have gone.
It was making me laugh a lot so would have liked to read the rest of it. Yea ok Im only asking out of curiousity not that I would indulge in anything like that myself

Where did you see it? I don't think it was here in the RA forum, unless you were reading a long-dead thread. Threads, even locked ones, don't just "disappear" here: they gradually fall of the board as they are displaced by newer ones.

Maybe try using a search?

Well, we now have at least 5 witnesses to this thread, should it disappear. As far as the topic is concerned, that is another issue.

The original topic in the 'never ending thread' doesn't exist any more, but not because it was derailed. It's because the OP deleted right at the start.

All topics exist in the neverending thread, by definition.

To answer the OP:

I've never seen a forum or blog post that describes in detail how to have cybersex. Partly, that's because these forums are (supposedly) PG, and the Moderators probably would take down such a discussion. And partly, it's because innuendo and double entendre are so much more fun. Less descriptive, but more fun.

But, if anyone is actually thinking they need more explicit information on the topic, I teach a class in world on Sex and Relationships. Friday nights, 7 pm SL time, GQ Start in the Santa Lucia region. Check the Events listings for a SLURL.

Oddly enough, that class is PG too, like these forums.

It's obviously 3 - the nature of perception. It may not be what the OP intended, but she did ask a question that concerns the nature of her own perception, as you so cleverly pointed out in your first post, so that's the thread's topic.

Listen guys I may be a little bit crazy at times but...........I did read a lot of that thread. I remember someone actually suggested that she first learned to take her clothes off before attempting to have sex. ermmm is that really necessary lol.

Threads do sometimes get totally deleted... there was one a few months ago (I don't think it's the one spinster is thinking of, but it was turning nasty). Did literally vanish before my eyes... even link from browser history didn't work.

Oh, we believe you. If it's a forum post, it's probably around here somewhere, but with a title that doesn't tie in well with the subject matter so it's hard to find in Search. If it's a blog post, the moderators probably axed it.

are you positive it was in this section of the forum??if so like how long ago was it??unless it was here when i was sleeping and taken out before i woke up i doubt i had seen one in a long while like that here..hehehe

Trying doing a keyword search on the text of the postings, rather than on the title, using a reasonably distinctive word or phrase that you know for sure appeared there. Um, "sexual intercourse" might well work, for instance . . .

ya do a search for posts you remember or members that were in the htread..then look back on their posts and see if it is still around..

Well, back in the day when there were actually moderators here, threads would often just disappear. We even had a few threads discussing why other threads were disappearing.

Hmmm. And Ee is right, too: there WAS a thread -- a particularly obnoxious one -- that did just go "poof" here a while ago. But I can't remember what it was about.

Yes it was in here............ And if the moderators did take it down it took a long time there was a lot of chat...... ok most were taking the p*** because they couldnt believe someone was actually asking the question.

And is it me, or did the thread on the new HXO Viewer get deleted, too? It mentioned a viewer much more advanced than Cryolife and had three youtube videos. It's gone, unless I'm blind.
