if i had the rl money to buy L$500,000 i would spend it on a bedder comp and as I'm new to sl i don't have any avi animations or such so any one got some real advice?

The most serious answer would be to get a real job. I think even flipping burgers would make you the most money in the fastest manner with the least amount of skill and effort than any kind of scheme in SL.

Despite what a lot of new people think, SL is just like RL, it takes skill, talent, hard work, time, and sometimes your RL money to make it here, at least legally. Personally I have invested thousands and thousands of real dollars in SL, and I still have to pump real money in at the end of each month to cover my expenses. My suggestion would be to learn to script well, or become a top flight clothes designer, or builder. Other than the obvious, come up with some really cool idea that hasn't been done before, and then do it, market it, spend hours helping people, fixing things, improving it, etc. or you could just become a purveyor of fine pixel sex and make it in the newest job market on earth doing the oldest profession. _____________________

The question is often raised here and will inevitably generate some smart-ass answers. The truth is that earning money (especially serious money) in SL is not easy. Land-flipping appears dead and the easy scams have been done. Here are a couple of threads where it was covered: /327/67/333173/1.html /327/87/293157/1.html There are likely to be more. Making L$500K, even in 2 or 3 years, is not an easy thing. They aren't kidding when they say it'd be easier to earn it in RL. _____________________

I'm in a good mood so I'll give a real answer.
The first half has already been given, buy L$, loads of them. Now comes the hard part, learn how the lindex or L$ trading on slx work and start selling and buying (buy low sell high) with a bit of luck you can make about 0.5% per week, it does not sound like much, wel it is not all that much, but it still beats a savings account rl. you might be able to make more with estate rental but that faces a lot more risk and work and is only worth it if you like doing it. |

L$500k/year are about L$10k/day or 10 customers paying L$1k in average per day. Thats not as impossible as the big money sounds first, isnt it? My advise: Design LOTS of products, and hope that some sell once a day. Use both SLX and parcel search to get customers. And dont become greedy when looking at the cheap mainland prices. ciao,Kephra |

Since it is only about US$1800-2000, it most definitely seems much easier and faster to earn it in RL. Get a extra job for a short while and you'll be there in no time.
