I currently own a 512m2 land. My partner is deciding to go premium and buy a 512m2 land right infront of mine, so we can share. Is there way to combine it so we can build stuff across it, like a house that fits 1024? Or do all we need to do is make a group and let rezzing for group?

As long as the land allows building for everyone you can build across both parcels without problems but it is much better to deed both parcels to a group because groups get a 10% tier bonus on mainland, the prims are shared across both parcels and you can make it into one 1024 sqm parcel so the radio settings and bans are the same all over the parcel.
Also deeded to group you can use the autoreturn function to keep crap out. |

You can't join two parcels that are owned by different entities, such as two avs/accounts. So you would each need to deed the land to your group so that the group owns the land. Then you can join the parcels to create one parcel.
If you create a group for the purpose, be sure that it *always* has 2 members in it or it will disappear and take your land with it. _____________________

ok, how do I deed a group? And what is the 10% tier bonus? Because im still on my first 512, so theres no extra cost for it. That would be the same for my partner too if he gets the other 512.

In the About Land box (General tab), Set the land to the group. Check the Allow Deed to Group option and also the Owner makes Contribution With Deed option. Then click the Deed button and it's done. If you have View > Land Owners on, you'll see the color of the parcel change from green to blue a few seconds later.
When land is group owned you get an extra 10% for the same tier cost. Owning a 512 parcel will allow you to buy another 51m of land, so it's nothing until you own enough land to make that 10% worth having. That applies to each of you, of course. One of you can't get the extra 10% for both parcels, even when they are joined. The thing to remember is that the group is not liable for the tier - each of you remains liable for your own tier, so the 10% applies to each of you. _____________________

alright, hopefully this is my last set of questions. If we ever decide to move or just sell our land, will it be counted as the 1024? Or can we break it back to 512s to sell?
And do I still have to worry about the "If you create a group for the purpose, be sure that it *always* has 2 members in it or it will disappear and take your land with it." If I deed the group? |

You can split land into parcels as small as 16x16 so, yes, you can split it back into two 512s whenever you like.
A group with less than two members will be removed, and any land it owns will go along with it. It's probable that the land could be recovered by submitting a ticket, but it's best not to allow it to happen in the first place. I've heard of too many bad things happening when partnerships go wrong so I recommend each of you having two avatar accounts, and all four accounts/avs being owners in the group (although only one of you can create the group). Owners can't be ejected from groups, so it guarantees that one of you can't quit the group, causing it to disappear. Having said that, you will both be able to set the land for sale, say for 0L, and buy it, so it could be stolen out from under you but, in the unlikely event of it happening, 512m isn't a big loss. _____________________

so the 10% applies to each of you. Well, sort of. If you each donate the rest of your tier after the land is deeded (or had already assigned 512 of tier each to the group) you will have an extra 102 m2 in the group. Since you round down to the nearest 16, that means if there is another bit near you up to 96 m2 you can grab it tier-free. _____________________

Yes, of course. It would mean that the 96m parcel would have to bought "for the group" or the indidual's tier level would go up.
