Beach+bikini <NE> Emo.

If an emo goes to the seashore, she dresses in black. Long sleeves, long skirt, flats or barefoot.

She doesn't go to a beach. She goes to a cold, bleak, rocky coastline where the waves throw icy spray. She sits on a rock, contemplates the leaden sky and the leaden sea a while.

Then wades in. Or if she is REALLY emo, simply sits and waits for the tide to come in and cover her.

LOL.... perfect! That's what I want to see... this landscape, with the aforementioned black towels and tents and concession stand, etc. There could be a whole series of poseballs where you could sit and contemplate. Now if only I could afford a sim to build this on... :D

I would love to see such a beach with a giant mushroom cloud in the background. Have to wear really thick goggles to avoid retina damage, and yet holding a face mirror to get an even radioactive tan under the chin. Talk about making a satirical statement about duality. Are emos into this kind of duality, or is too post-apocolyptic?

Oh, I honestly don't know much about emos other than what I've seen on YouTube (Larrs, Hope is Emo, various interviews, music videos, Emo Patrols). They seem to have taken quite a bit from goth with only one major difference: Goth say I don't care, whereas Emo say I care too much. Well, the clothes are kind of different depending on the sub-Goth you are comparing them to.

I wonder what would happen if you started saying that emo is a sub-culture of goth. Or even a sub-culture of punk. Heh.

I'm suddenly reminded of the beach scene in The Craft with all of the beached animals. She's all wigging out and drunk on positive emotion. "They're so beautiful!" Grotesque, yet somehow uplifting.

OK, what does an emo wear on the beach?

I think a real "emo" probably wouldn't bother asking a question like this, but would wear whatever they wanted to wear, or whatever piece of clothing strewn about on the bedroom floor was cleanest at the moment.
Still if you're going for "dark", I wouldn't look for a bikini at all, but for a vintage-style one-piece with a "boycut" bottom. Perhaps somethng like this:

You could pair it with fishnets and a snug cardigan or jacket, and be sure to include sunglasses ^^
As for accessories, well a parasol would keep your skin fair and hide your face from onlookers, while a book or a pair of headphones would prevent people from talking to you.
