Who *isn't* moving to Zindra?

I just spent some time touring on my horse over there.....it's cool to see everyone getting set up, and watching it being developed....in spite of the "issues." Some places look really nice.

Yeah, only big empty land for sale parcels around my (mature) place. Expensive water front parcels with no takers and little traffic.

Oh yeah, I'm not moving to Zindra either.

Based on ticket numbers that people have reported, I have estimated there were around 1,100 move tickets submitted in the first 3.6 hours they were open. At the present rate of processing it will take them 25 days to complete them all.

Add however many more tickets will have been submitted in the remaining 2 weeks, 6 days, and 20.4 hours they are open, and then your favorite estimate of how many people will move *after* this first wave.

The maximum size of Zindra so far spotted is 507 regions (only 1/3 of which are currently active). So unless they up that size, that limits it to about 10% of the mainland.

Note that Zindra is not the only Adult land, estates can set their regions to Adult, and at least 148 have already been set that way. That is almost as much as Zindra has now (157 regions).

In my opinion, the long run the ratio of estate adult to mainland adult (= Zindra) will end up about the same as the ratio of total estate to mainland (4:1). Therefore my answer to the original question is "80% of the adult content people will not be moving to Zindra".

I've been told, be careful on your land about being nekid lol. Considering my deck faces the Linden waterway, I suppose I *shouldn't* be changing out there But in all seriousness? I am sure I won't be doing anything different. I never see anyone in my sim, let alone flying over or in that waterway. It's the quietest area I've ever seen in SL - like nobody barely ever even drops in out of the blue. I think I've gotten maybe 2 or 3 noobs fall out of the sky (if that) in the 1-1/2 years I've been there.

So, I have no intention of changing my ways. I do wonder what the rules will be with stores and changing rooms. Seems rather ridiculous to ban changing your clothing to try something on

I am not moving- my business doesn't seel anythign that requires it and i figure peeps shd just stay out of my house unless invited.

Come to think of it, I don't really 'live' anywhere... kinda hard to at a zillion teleports per hour. Does the black screen between teleports count as anything?

If LL wants to avoid nude glimpses of avatars who are changing clothes (or species!) in public, then they can jolly well make clothing rez instantaneously.

I seriously doubt that LL has any intention of obligating clothing sellers to use their prims on changing rooms. These have always been a nicety that some of the larger stores provide.

Yes, the complaints of the emigre' community fail to arouse my sympathy. I would like new free double prim land and a suspension of tier payment on my present holdings as well.

I'm not, I took the decision months ago to move to a private estate, my house is all happily setup and now I've got 8 little islands to finish setting up as well (homesteads).

I'm building my own little Zindra, I wonder which will have more lag and issues (*laughs*)

CX and I aren't moving... we're trusting that LL will leave residents alone regarding what happens in private. It annoys me though that we're all vulnerable to defending our private actions from maliciously intended AR's.

After much consideration, I've decided that Zindra is not the place for me.

Not moving to Zindra, anyway. I have been wondering whether I'd be better served to downsize. It's not that I can't pay my tier rental, just that lately I've been thinking about all the other things I could do with those L$... and this would be a great time to pick up the perfect 1024, as I'd probably come out ahead even if I take a big loss on my 4096.

At the moment, though, the joy of having all that space to decorate is still winning.

I'm moving all my naughty stuff to Zindra... Except what's in my condo... But I am torn about whether to move my residence there, since the sushi joint closed and my favourite coffee bar is for sale

Not moving I don't need to.I pop over there often though to see how it's developing.

Not me, at least not yet. I might get some land there, just because I like being an adult. I could move my workshop there.
