abusing my property

I have a question about my land.
I have had my property up for rental for the past couple of months and I have had no takers…no worries…I can wait…but what is beginning to annoy me is that people are now using my house for their own orgies, on a number of occasions I have logged in to find some guy humping a girl in my bed, today some guy logged in on my sofa and turned on my tv and sat watching porn in my living room…
I have an excellent security system installed but I have had to turn it off so that people can view my property with ease…but I really don’t want my property so easy to abuse…
The animations within my property cost my husband and I over 40,000L$ and our land gorgeous and well worth the rental price…but, how can I expect to get a tenant when I have all these rude members just thinking that my house is an open house for their parties?

Is their any way I can stop people from abusing my things this way?

Um...schedule appointments to see the property?

I have the exact same problem. Every time I log in, there are people having sex on my property!

Start charging them money to enter your property to get back your Lindens for the pose balls,etc.?

What I Finally did to stop ppl from having sex in my house was to buy security. Now they would camera in and get in. But, I set the security so that if they sat or laid down they were tpd to the edge of the sim. I was tired of going into my home and having them on my bed and they would try to make me feel like I was the one who should not be there.

So, now let them go in, I could not care less. I believe they are booted in about 10 seconds.

all my "pose" balls can be set to not allow anyone... (40,000L heck my sexgen sets bed/bath and more and the living room stuff and bondage stuff wasn't that costly you all must have some super stuff?) all can be set that way, but its open and no one ever bothers LOL

And while you're at it, set a sign that says, "This property is under surveillance. All acts of sex will find themselves on YouTube and the offenders will be banned." Or set the land to damage and have the bed blow them for a change... err.. I mean, blow them up, that is.

Any experienced SL resident can take a virtual tour of your place without coming within security orb's range by using the cam features so you should be able to keep the orb active and if necessary schedule appointments to view the property closer.

I'm not sure what kind of SL TV you are using but you can disable the adult channels on @HOME televisions by going into the contents tab and removing the adult playlists. You can probably do something similar for any other SL TV.

If they are using sex animations that come with your bed use the control features, if they are there, to limit authorized users to yourself.

Alternatively you can simply remove these objects from your home when you are not around.

Lower the "sell" price of the land. The problem isn't orgies, the problem is that you want too much for the land.

What I do to sell land is this: choose the highest reasonable price. Wait one week. If it hasn't sold, reduce the price 5%. Wait one week, then repeat if necessary.

Holding out for a higher price is counterproductive, as you must pay tier on unused land. Forget what you paid for it, and forget being greedy, you need to find what the market will pay for it. BTW on most transactions of land, I've made money, not lost, by following this simple procedure.

As for orgies, who cares? It doesn't affect the saleability of your land. You can also just ban anyone you find on your land you don't like.

to Distilled1 Rush (i tried to quote, but it only let me do one quote) some of the animations i have were 17,000, 14,000 and 7,000 but this was last year and he has since reduced his prices (when the facial expressions made it into animations, apparently he was the first to use this, (im not advertising him neither) plus we have nearly every dance ball that bits and bobs has released...so in reality...(or virtual reality...lol) we have spent MORE than 40,000!!
but my partner and i were having a 3500mile relationship so all this only helped us pass away the lonely nights apart.



my property was assessed by a successful land baron who gave me the 'guide price' because of what is actually available on my property...im not being greedy...if i were i would be selling my avatars body for sex and make a fortune...buy a sim and rent out 1024s for 25L$ a week...money isnt everything. our land isnt unused, my husband and i still hang there and work while we wait for our tenants. he is a bit pee'd that our land attracts nudists when we have PG land, people just dont respect the rules.

What "guide"? Is this land baron renting out land also? Could he be telling you to set your price high on purpose?

If your land isn't renting, the price must be more than the market will bear.

Oh I know what I paid for a platium bed back in 06 ... I just wont admit how much me and my partner spent

remove said attractions until you get it rented. note in the property profile of the items that will be readded once rented.

At my place I only have one area that is 100% completely sacrosanct, my coffin. It is enclosed in a circle of protection which is quite clearly visible on the floor as a pentacle. It is actually a mostly transparent non-physical cylinder that is scripted to detect when an av goes inside it ((llVolumeDetect).
Anyone not belonging to my land group who is foolish enough to venture there gets tp'd home instantly and optionally (for me) banned. Of course as a curtesy it sends them an IM to explain why and then IMs me so I know who breached the circle.
I have to say the number of people it has dealt with so far has been surprisingly big - I had no idea until installing that how many people enter my house bypassing my lock.

In the old days I would just terrify the intruders but these days nobody is scared of vampires in SL. I could tell you tales of newbies fleeing the place in terror as I came for them. Nowadays they consider it foreplay *sighs*

would that then make it wrong for you to have the dirty pose balls in the first place? being PG land

have you thought about setting the land to group? that would deffinatly stop people using the tv (unless there in the group as well that is)

i'v not got much else, i don't have any sexy poseballs, you'd think they would have some kind of access list tho (my neighbor has the same problem, thing is she's so descusted by it she deletes the balls and goes out and buys new ones)

I was caught Abusing My Property once!

The Nuns gave me detention for a month, along with the knuckle beatings, as well as writing an essay on why it was "bad".
