Skirt and clothing issues

is anyone else having the same issue as my friend and I? we cant keep our skirts on!
Everytime we put our outfit on the skirt dissapears. I even had one person from my shop ask me to whip up a prim skirt at the last minute because the normal one flat out wouldnt rez!

How can we stop this? Ohh yes I have cleared cashe......Didnt work the problem came back 2 days later

This has been an ongoing problem. There are several threads dealing with it usually involving various combinations of rebake and going into appearance modification mode. I haven't seen a fool proof workaround yet.

I am having problems with clothing but not skirts this last week.

My issue one day my clothing in inventory was loading...and loading and I couldn't put on pants and then I had major lag putting on and taking of clothes.
Anyone experiencing this?
/FD has developed now fear of getting undressed or changing his clothes.
No more naked time for me until it's safe cause I don't want to crash and end up naked some sim I never been at before.

That is usually the asset server being bad on the networking side and timing out

The skirt issue has been around a while.....but the funny thing is I never wear the regular skirts because they just look too dumpy. The templates just aren't designed quite right.....but anyway I tried one the other day with a new outfit I got......and the skirt rezzed alright.....but....it remained semi-transluscent as if it were not quite done rezzing. That was really odd. Everything thing else showed up just fine in the intended solid color.....but the skirt looked more like a ghost image and never finished loading. bizarre. I nixed it and found a cool prim skirt.

I am having the same problem for many months.
This is really upsetting me. It happens no matter what sim I am in.
most people use prim skirts as i do. BUT..there are many blouses and
jackets with a bottom piece that is made to be a skirt.
I cannot wear a lot of clothing because of this issue...I have a photo account with flicker
and it is really affecting my second life.
I hope that it is addressed soon....LINDENS..FIX THE SKIRTS PLEASE!!! TY...darks

In the JIRA they reported that the Lindens have a fix for this. Apparently it relates to a bad clean-up procedure in dealing with HUD's, of all things... The fix is slated to be added to an upcoming release, in either 1.21 or 1.22.

The skirt disappearing is an issue that started with the Windlight versions. That means that you can go back to the 1.19.0.5 version, which is pre-windlight and is still supported by LL.

I've noticed the disappearing system skirt issue is much worse with the Release Candidate (1.20) viewers. It does not happen as often (for me at least) with the official viewer, 1.19.1.4

I have the same problem with the lower part of my jacket from time to time.
Most times I can get it fixed by opening the appearance window, this seems to force the skirt back into view, then while still in appearance i rebake and close the appearance window. If the skirt doesnt appear when you exit or within a few minutes, just repeat the process.
I have found this works for me most times, although can take a couple of tries. Of corse next time i change clothes it can vanish again , or not.

But I will be most happy when the problem gets fixed for good.
