Hi. Shortly after I downloaded the new viewer, my skirts started vanishing! lol I'm talking skirts here - not prim skirts or any other items of clothing. If I put any of the affected skirts on, the inven shows it as being 'worn', but it is invisible. If I try this in a high lag area, I (and friends) can clearly see the grey skirt shape forming, but when it rezzes - not there!
If I pass these skirts to other ppl, they can wear them normally. If I fiddle about with my outfits a lot (complete shape/skin/clothes/detachments changes) and use a 'safe one' (ie one with a skirt that [so far!] has not been affected, and then slowly change every detail one bit at a time, then sometimes - only sometimes - I can actually get the skirt+outfit I want. But if I change again, or teleport, its gone and so are most of the others.
This also affects newly purchased items, so it seems to be 'me' rather than the skirts themselves.
For emphasis... these are NOT vanishing from my inven.
I have cleared cache, defragged PC, fiddled with graphics options and completely uninstalled SL (including wiping all folders remaining and a registry clean) and reinstalled. No difference.
HELP!

I will be answering the other thread as well. This whole business is seriously spoiling my SL time and its typical that Linden dont give a rats if a few dozen people drop out as a result. Certainly *I* won't be buying any more skirt outfits for a while and any other plans I may have had for developing 'my' SL are seriously on hold!

Riccardo dear..... you may be present for one occasion when some female materialises showing things she didnt intend - but for all the rest of the time you're going to see a lot of jeans wearing females. Go figure if this is just a fem problem *smiles*

Like I said on another thread. Because its "just" women's skirts being invisible, don't expect a quick resolution.

However if it had been a bug that decreases Male Avatar's "package" size, it would have been fixed within a day.

There's 95 votes now for this. Also, if you post a comment to the bug, please include your machine specs from SL's Help/About screen.

And, if you could easily show this happening to a Linden -- in other words, if this happens every time you wear certain skirts -- please mention that too.

I checked today, and I don't have that bug anymore...but I thought it WASN'T fixed??? Weird.
