I cannot seem to do the simplest thing. I cannot edit my appearance without my avitar getting all snooty with me and turning his back to me.
I put him on a posing platform and as soon as you click "appearance" on the pie graph there, it just jumps off the posing platform.
If I click ALT and direction buttons to pan around his head to look at his face, when I click appearance, he still turns away from me.
I cannot make him face me to edit his facial features no matter what i do.
Help someone?
Thanks in advance...

Two things: 1) Standing on a pose stand is (in the system) the same as sitting on an object. Your av will always stand when you go into Edit Appearance, so there is no point to using a pose stand when doing this. 2) Although your av is supposed to go into certain positions when you Edit Appearance, it sometimes doesn't do it properly (look further down this forum, as there is a thread on this same thing). Still, you can use camera controls INSIDE Edit Appearance, to go to the view you prefer. Besides ALT, you can get different camera controls with CTRL-ALT and CTRL-ALT-SHIFT. ETA: Here is the link to that previous thread: /327/a9/205768/1.html

Pressing CTL + ALT did the trick. He still TRIES to turn his back to me, but I am able to override it with those controls.
Thanks so much.

Yup or you can do the same with Alt-Left click on yourself... then you can pan around yourself. Easy peasy!
