I have looked everywhere for this. Please help. How can i copy an image from character map on my computer and paste it to a notecard on sl? The viewer before this allowed it....the new viewer won't do it. I am at a loss. Thank you for any advice you can give.

I just tried a couple of symbols , Φψ, and it works fine for me. Are you trying a font that doesn't exist in the viewer? I used the control C / control P method.

i first used the same (ariel) font that i did in the old viewer. Thought maybe there is a setting someplace that opens it up or closed that ability. Yes i used ctrl c and ctrl v. Will go back and try ctrl p. I do hearts and stuff for gestures with them.
Thank you so much for replying :))

If you're using "hearts and stuff" it's probably a case of Wingdings, Webdings or whatever and not the Arial font. I saw a post about this in the past couple of weeks, which may have the solution for you:

The SL viewer ships with it's own font, Meta, and doesn't use Arial, for most characters. It seems to fall back to your local operating system fonts for some characters (mostly Asian and eastern European languages).
