N.C. woman accused of real-life kidnap plot after online relationship ends

CLAYMONT, Delaware - A woman is charged with plotting the real-life abduction of a boyfriend she met through the virtual reality Web site "Second Life."

Kimberly Jernigan, 33, from Durham, North Carolina, was returned to Delaware to face charges including attempted kidnapping after she was arrested in Maryland last week.

Court records say Jernigan drove to the 52-year-old man's apartment Thursday with a stun gun, handcuffs and duct tape. She fled when he came home, discovered her and called police.

Police said the two met online on Second Life, a social site where people create alter egos. The man broke off the relationship after they met in person.

Court records did not list an attorney for Jernigan, who was being held in lieu of $65,000 bail.

So you broke the law and are now paying "the price" ?

A new game brought out by the makers of Second Life!

When you create an account, you log in to find yourself in booking (tutorial) and have to find out what exactly you did to wind up in there. This will be generated by the "Wheel of You Screwed Up" and from there, you'll go to a "welcome area" that allows you to have limited interaction with other residents.. err, prisoners.

The Lindens of Prison Life would have the last name "Guard" and the CEO would have the title of "Warden" instead.

Everything is strictly scheduled, with you having little or no say in what really happens to your avatar. What really sucks is that you can't log out either.
