I know I posted this already but I swear I can't find it. That or I'm just losing it... don't say it. Is anyone else having the problem when they take a snapshot, to upload to disk it takes anywhere from 6-8 seconds to capture the picture? I have a very fast graphics card, Gforce 8800, 3g mem, core duo, so I have a good PC. Doesn't seem to matter what size snap I take. Any suggestions?

I think when I responded the first time around, I said I was having similar issues (except it was taking longer), so I switched back to the Release Candidate and problem solved. That situation remains the same.

Since this thread is going nohere can I recycle it by asking if it is tru that if I use another viewer I can do uploads of ptcures without paying $10 a shot.

AFAIK that only happens when you connect to the SL beta grid (Aditi) or to an OpenSim grid such as OpenLife, which doesn't yet enforce paid uploads. You can't do it on the main SL grid (Agni), no matter which viewer you use. I may be wrong on the viewer, and if I am then someone will be along to correct me, no doubt  The only other way around it is to make a single contact sheet with several textures on it, then use repeat and offset to make only the relevant parts show on whichever prims you want to apply them to.

Yes I don't seem to have the problem outside of "windlight" and someone had told me that SL had issues with Nvidia graphic cards but didn't know if this was one of the problems. I sure wish this would get fixed as it makes it impossible to snap shots quickly. Thank you all for trying
