Raymation Designs just released a Brazilian zouk dance set that I'm looking forward to checking out.

From: Soji Slade Personally I also like Maar's slow dance. Called "Slow One". From: HoneyBear Lilliehook Nice dances, but dang....700L?? HoneyBear, are you looking at the individual dance ball sets or the club sets? IIRC, when I bought a one-couple set it was something like 300L for one pair, but I could have bought three pairs or a copyable set (can't remember, it's been a while) for 700L. Darn this thread - I went grid-hopping this weekend looking at couples' dances but couldn't test most of them as I didn't have someone to drag along with me... ah, well - I've taken landmarks.

I *thought* I was looking at a normal set. It said "Basic" on the package. Um, and if you want someone to check dance poseballs with, shoot me an IM. I did the very same thing. Couldn't test because I was alone.

Maar changed her price structure a while back. She sells all of her no-copy dances for 700L now. Her copiable club sets are higher, but with the Intan Couple Dance Ball, you do not need a copiable set. The sad thing is, when her prices were lower, I recommended her dances to all of my Intan clients. I no longer do that. Yell if you ever need a test partner. I love testing them, plus, I have lots of them already in my personal Intan, and I know where most of the rest are located.

Well, I ended up spending about 2k at Bits and Bobs over the weekend. However, I will NOT pay 700L for one dance...I don't care how good it is. I just don't understand pricing yourself out of most people's budgets.

From: Nic Writer I went grid-hopping this weekend looking at couples' dances but couldn't test most of them as I didn't have someone to drag along with me... ah, well - I've taken landmarks. I kept running into this issue with poseballs of various sorts - ended up creating a male alt that I log in and TP to me. From: HoneyBear Lilliehook Well, I ended up spending about 2k at Bits and Bobs over the weekend. However, I will NOT pay 700L for one dance...I don't care how good it is. I just don't understand pricing yourself out of most people's budgets. It is not just Maar's dances that are really expensive. Sine Wave sells their couples dances for, I believe, L$600 each - which is also a lot when you figure you are going to want more than one. Ditto for the sets done by Jesse Murdock -- I forget the store name right now. I have all of the Bits and Bobs dances and I have a whole batch of 50's couple dances that I got at a fairly decent price, and I have one of the Sine Wave sets. I would really love to have some of Maar's, and/or Jesse's and some more Sine Wave, but so far I just cannot justify that cost. Henmations only has a few couples dances, but I do need to get their to try them out and check their pricing. From: Maureen Boccaccio So...does anyone know if there's a two-step dance pose ball set anywhere??? I have searched SL for over a year looking for a two-step. Hell, I'm not even real picky about it being a decent one, but actually would pay some larger bucks for a good one. Along those same lines, I've never seen a Tripple-step in SL either and I would love to find a good Waltz besides the Bits and Bobs one.

Especially since I'd just be getting them for my own home use. I'm sure sorry to hear it. From: Cheree Bury Yell if you ever need a test partner. I'll keep that in mind. I won't be out looking now for a while, because I made the tactical error of testing the solo Flamenco dances at Sine Wave with this pair of fans I have in my inventory, and, well...

That reminds me of something else I dream of finding in SL, but I don't know if it's even feasible - English Country and Baroque dances, where you have a circle of couples or a line of couples in sets of four, with all the A couples and all the B couples doing different steps in synch. I probably couldn't afford it if someone did make one, but I'd dearly love to throw on a ballgown and have a go at Female Sailor, Sellinger's Ronde, Black Nag... And though I'm not looking for one, I wonder if one of the couples animators could be persuaded to attempt a galliard? EDIT: Or a pavane. Yes, a pavane... ahhh..... [/historical dance geek]

[/historical dance geek] Something similar that I have is a group Menuet and group Chaconne, both made by Maar. They were not overly expensive back when I purchased them, but since they are made for up to 3 couples each, with her new pricing, they might now be quite a bit.
