With Valentines Day approaching does anyone know how to send a card anonymously to someone. Dropping it into their inventory kind of gives the game away

If you make the card, they can always look at the creator. You can either use one of the card shops in game and have them deliover one for you or just make an alt and use that to creat the card and pass it to them.

This brings to mind, in this no-transfer world, where to find interesting gifts that don't come out of a freebie box.
Can anyone recommend card shops, clothing, jewelry etc shops where one can buy gifts? I don't really want to go the gift certificate way. _____________________

I know a photographers who will do your photo and custom make a card for you for 200L. Just an idea
 Also, most of the clothes I sell are transferrable. _____________________

Shameless plug time...  I have just scripted a new "Secret Admirer" Valentine Card - there are 3 styles to choose from in my shop (see my Sig), each with a different message which they will say in Chat to the Recipient when they Rez or Touch the card, e.g. "Happy Valentine's Day, Yosef, from your Secret Admirer!" You Pay the card vendor (only L$79 ), then tell it the Recipient Name (in Chat) and it saves their name (and yours) till Valentines Day. Then on Valentine's Day, it (the Vendor) will send out the card to your friend - so it will come from the "Secret Admirer Card Vendor" (not you). At the same time, it will IM you to confirm delivery. _____________________

Yes, the next enhancement will be for the cards to let you 'record' your own message, e.g. "...from the tall, dark, handsome stranger bearing PIE!!!" but that is a little more complex to script so might have to wait till next year..._____________________

If you're looking for a good Valentine's gift, let me kind of shamelessly plug my store here. I run Cuddly Creations, a custom stuffed animal store in Second Life. You come down, pick out a stuffed animal (we have two ready for Valentine's Day), choose what it wears, give it a name, choose what it says when someone clicks it, and it comes with a carrying case, a Certificate of Adoption, and your very own custom bear. These are set to be transferable so you can give them as gifts as well. Check it out.
Look under Places for Cuddly Creations and you should see the store. I'll be here for a while so even if you just want to take a look at what we have, stop by. The Grand Opening is on Sunday (not everything is laid out just yet) but you can still order a bear while you're there before the opening date. You probably would have to see it to believe it, but we have some very...eh...guy-friendly bears. I made one for a person that had blood splattered on his face and held two berserker swords. Said some of the funniest taunts I've ever had a bear say. Trust me when I say you can find something for anyone with what I have right now. |

Shameless Plug here too lol: Sentiments by Sidda has cards that speak in chat. Lots of Teddy Bear Cards, Silly Cards and Serious Cards to choose from with Poofers if you so desire. I will customize any card you want!! I will also send cards to people and promise not to tell where they came from as I have done that quite a bit in the past. Just put Sentiments by Sidda in search you can find the store easily.

I wish more shops did Valentine's Day cards (and every day cards) for your sweetheart that said something other than I Love You. I don't say that phrase lightly, but I would still like to give a card with a strong affection message. I did manage to find a few non "I Love You" cards at Valentino's shop and another at Treacle Moon, but only finding a couple after searching lots and lots of stores was very frustrating.

Brooke Fairplay at Fairplay Designs (http://slurl.com/secondlife/Joiner/239/154/33) has a whole store full of greeting items, some very imaginative things. She's got a huge inventory of cards, MANY more things than "I Love You", as well as balloons, poofers, flowers, candles. Good stuff.
