Am I the only person who finds it odd that a 'newb' account posts such a "timely" topic only to poof into thin air?
Timely, or prescient? This thread is a bit necro, having started two months ago. (I can sympathize with the poster who dredged it back to the surface; there are several current hot threads on the subject, but maybe none recognizable by title or search--especially if one is looking for *rumors* of the fee hikes. Stitcher, those aren't rumors.)

To be fair to the LL Commerce Clowns, the topic of search clutter and freebies and general crap listings on XstreetSL *has* been hotly debated for months on the Commerce "Forum", and some response was appropriate. The mystery is how the hell the very worst ideas on the subject were the ones raised at their office hours and ultimately adopted as policy.

I'm beginning to think LL works on a points system.. rather like a game.

"Listening to the residents,": 1 point.
Making a list of their ideas: 2 points
Taking that list of ideas, putting it through the shredder: 20 points
Find pieces in the shredder, taping them together: 3 points
Rewriting it as resident feedback/suggestions: 6 points
Wadding up suggestions and file 13ing them: 50 points.
Look online for top 10 worst business decisions: 80 points.
Pulling the one from that list that will cost LL the least amount of money: 200 points.
Making this the resident suggestion/feedback list: 300 points.
Holding meeting with financial advisers on said list: 300 points
Shutting out PR advisers from meeting: 300 points
Find a way to soak the residents for MORE L$: 11eleventy billion points!!111!!!
Implementing this suggestion: I Can Has VP position pleeze?
