Who do you go to for advice? Do you go to your best friend in real? Or in Sl? Or do you do to the Forums? (Lol).
Whose advice do you take?
Any special reasons?

I didn't see a "my best imaginary friend," option, so I went with REAL best friend.

Why? Why on earth would I ask Resident Answers for advice on anything other than SL? My RL friends know me well enough to keep from risking their hides in giving advice ;)

Anyone who looks or sounds "right" I guess. Whether they are friends from SL or in real life, they know me too well. Any advice from them is probably meant for me to play safe with, away from likely disappointment. A casual acquaintance might offer an impartial advice which could turn out to be a good one, but to which I might not heed to due to personal constraints known only myself. Therefore, I choose "anyone" whom I seek advice from. Anyone who can dispense sound advices based on his/ her background, experience and such. The duration of the acquaintanceship is not much of a factor to decide the quality of the advice.

Anyway, this hardly happens to me since seeking advice from others is a rarity for me; I tend to get more confused and would end up not making any decision. Back to square one for me. ._.

For a silly little post this made me laugh *ridiculously* loud. This is *exactly* the response most of my posts should generate. :D

If it's to do with SL I ask on the forums or try to find info on the net.

To do with RL - recent things I've needed advice on have been mainly to do with administrative paperworky type of stuff, and I've used the net to find out as much as I can, but without total success.

Pep, we are alike in that regard.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

I have three friends in SL that I value the most. Two are very close to me and know more about me than my RL family. I'm infatuated in one and another mother's over the two of us. They are the ones I go to when all seems lost. (^_^)

In RL, I don't really leave this room. There isn't anyone out here for me to turn to. (>_<;)

Pep is being a bit disingenuous here.

Actually, I function as a sort of agony aunt for him. The other day we had a VERY long discussion about how hurt he sometimes feels about the name-calling here on the forum, and how he shouldn't let what others think get him down.

He's really a very sensitive soul, you know . . .

He is about as sensitive as an anaconda.

There needs to be an option for those of us who never seek advice from others.

I honestly can't remember the last time I ever sought advice on anything from anyone.

I simply research, collect data, wait until I believe I have sufficient information on which to base a decision on and make said decision, prepared to live with the consequences whatever they may be.

Interesting poll/question.

He'll be VERY wounded that you've said that. So all you've accomplished is to make extra work for me.

He won't show it publicly, of course. He's always putting a brave face on things, plucky little fellow! :)

(/me makes sure she is well-supplied with tissues . . .)

While you are wiping his snotty little face, get a flame thrower and cauterize his wounds. He has about as much sensitivity as a jam sandwich. Plucky little fellow! LOL!
Tell him to also get out into the real air and go for a walk. It's sat'day so he should do some shopping.

/me is sooooooo pleased he decided not to participate in the forums during his break from work. ;)

Pep (would have had to change his trousers at least three times during this thread already! )

PS Following Jig's advice and considering going along to Milton Keynes Shopping Centre - to see Stavros Flatley (Britain's Got Talent???) in an hour or so.

Incontinence is NOT something to discuss on a worldwide forum, Pep.

and,
"PS considering going along to see Stavros Flatley (Britain's Got Talent???) in an hour or so." - For dance lessons?
