Hi, ive been playing secondlife for over a year, im premium, and can be fully trusted.
Im requiring a loan of L$20171 -- $76.42 this is to buy land for a group, we are all buying plots of land to slowly own the whole sim, im unable to buy linden atm as ive gone past my weekly allowance, you may ask , why dont i wait? Well the problem is that the owner of the sim has to sell it before the 24th April, that his monthly tier day. Please IM me in-world, i hope that someone can find it in their kind hearts to loan me this amount :)

Since people are likely to say unkind things to you for asking for money, I will make a suggestion. You can buy Lindens through SL Exchange - they are an officially approved source - and transfer the money to your account in-world. Your trading limit through the LindeX won't stop you from buying this way. Here's the URL:

http://www.slexchange.com/modules.php?name=Currency

Good luck.

All I can say is; Can anyone lend me 20k too? lmao Seriously, that's almost what I earn per week RL. I agree, buy in the slexchange.

I believe SLX puts a temp hold on your first time purchasing lindens though, right? Hopefully the OP has purchased there before if thats the case. I don't think anyone would loan someone they don't know 20K.

I think there're SL banks or places to lend money but i'm not sure how it works. I have a feeling you have to pay some amount up front, might be worth a look though.

I just looked at my per 24 hours and per 30 day limits on my account page and they are pretty high. I know new players have low limits, but the OP has been around for over a year....so the linden exchange limits should be fairly high. Unless the OP already purchased over $2500 worth of lindens this month?

some one with to much money could buy the land and deed it to a private group and give full ownership when recieving the fund

still tho, if you can`t afford it, don`t buy it

Don't forget the extra tier they'd have to pay, too, I'd want that if I were them.

The clock starts after the first US$ transaction with LL, so avatar age doesn't matter so much. But if LL who sort of "knows" this avatar won't take the money, I'd be that much less inclined to lend it.

It would be easiest to call billing and ask for a limit increase, they are pretty accommodating that way.

Sorry just thinking, I assume you've already asked the other group members? If you can't get it on the slexchange or a credit increase then i'm sure other suitable land can be found later on. I used to be in a group & we bought land when it became available on our sim, but if we couldn't afford it, we just didn't get it. Sorry but that's life unfortunately.

Linden Labs billing support is 24 hours. Pick up the phone and call them. They will increase your purchasing limit immediately.

There are. Send me a PM I can give you a name of a very trustworthy company I have dealt with. 20 percent up front usually.

Wrong. Took them two weeks to increase my limits. Phone did nothing.

I was looking at the sim in question when you guys were working out a deal with the owner... He seemed to be very accommodating, I am sure though one of your friends said something about having to work hard to earn the money this month?

I do hope it works out for you, its a nice sim :)

Say that someone needs L$80k. How is the lender any more assured of getting paid back if someone asks for L$100k and pays them L$20k up front? How long will this lending business before being done in by the unscrupulous elements of SL?

Being a lender is a super risky proposition in a virtual world with no system that permits enforcement of resident to resident contracts.

That is not to hard, I have a 5000 usd sell limit and ran out half a week ago by selling and buying between 300 and 600 usd worth of L$ making 0.5% profit on every cycle, it adds up that way.

They buy the land you want and take over your group, making you a co owner with limited powers. (you can not sell the land or get any money for sold land, or make or edit roles, but you can do everything else)

You make weekly payments towards the loan. There is no actual exchange of lindens from the lender to the lendee(?) They buy the land for the group. When your loan is paid off they make you the real owner of the group and leave the group themselves. This company is highly recommended by many land dealers and has an excellent reputation.

Though I wouldn't advise it on such a small amount of USD,it would seem like a waste IMO.(in the orginal post) There is interest applied of course.

If you stop paying the loan, they take back the land. So not really any risk to the lender.

Sure, I'll lend you money. Just let me get my wallet. I will have to turn my back to you, drop my pants, bend over and brace myself against something first though.
