I
Aslong as they sell it, but asfar i have witnessed the total number sqm for sale only has grown these last months (?), so something has to give at some point ?

This is an excellent point. SO much of the land is for sale its scary. How can this be sustainable long term? At some point, some people are going to get stuck paying a LOT more tier than they ever wanted to when the land market bottom drops out.

The Great SLdepression.

Not really. People who intend to buy and hold will get the chance to buy land at a reasonable price once the speculators drop out. As far as they're concerned, it's just a recession ;)

I think that most landbots operate mainly at the bargain end of the market - your flat green/granite. They maintain a bottom level for crap land.
You'd be amazed at the number of really nice parcels that end up owned by bot runners because a seller set the land low to unload it instantly.

Well we all know the Landbarons with half a dozen sims they can't sell already would still rather pay $5k than let and end user buy direct :P

Well, another look at it is that all this land that the bots' owners have for sale means that they are having to pay tier on that land, right? At some point, assuming they can't make enough of a profit on sales, because people aren't willing to pay those prices, they will have to lower their asking prices, or they will just end up paying more and more tier.

Hey, think of it this way, those bot-owners are helping support SL by paying all that tier ;)

No baron with any common sense would employ that business model.
