The hangout is a fun spot to see the forum regulars. I don't go often enough. Usually just to streak the place then scuttle back to my basement. =^-^=

I'll put in a good word for the Forum Cartel IM channel. It's great fun to just "listen" in on the banter and hear of everyone's adventures.

I go to the hangout too, once in a blue moon -- a comfortable group of people who let me interact if I'm feeling up to it, or are okay with my just being a doorstop, sitting and sorting my inventory if I've had a bad day at the office.

Another use for the Cartel group chat channel is to tell folks you're there if there's no one around when you arrive. You could say, "Hey, how do I ride the bull here?"

Didn't know there was a bull-riding pit? Wander around the rather extensive grounds around the clubhouse! But don't fall off the dock ...

Didn't know there was a dock? The Hangout is on the shoreline of a God-knows-how-many sims expanse of sailable Linden water. Bring your boat!

Oh, and if you need to change into sailing clothes before you go out, there's a changing room above the clubhouse. TP to it is in the other room of the clubhouse. Wear your Cartel tag to use it.

Shy, want a more private conversation? There's a garden area, used to have a bar and conversation pit right by the waterfall

And, there used to be a hot tub on the deck out the other side of the 2nd room. I'd be surprised if they weren't both still there.

Your kids bothering you while you're trying to soak? There used to be a swingset and some other toys around ... scout around and see!
