Heh... I don't think I use "Hmm..." on it's own... But if I do, it's usually paired with my grimace ~ (>_<
 ~ smiley and only in the middle of a conversation that frustrates me. (=_=)Way more than half of all of my communication is through type. RL and SL... So my flow of words and expressions in typed chat are more conversational than they are grammatical. So, all the little "*giggles*", "*eeps*", "Heh", "Hmm", "Ugh", "Gah", and stuff is pretty much something I would say out loud anyway. (^_^) The smilies on the other hand.... (=_=)y _____________________

I use "Hmmm" to show I am pondering something, whereas "ah" or "oh" usually mean I have reached an understanding.
I have been known to use "mmmmpphh" in the proper settings _____________________
