Is anyone having trouble logging into forums? I'm having a very difficult time. It took forever to get logged in, and jumping from page to page is wonky.
No other website is having trouble.

Yep, some weirdness here for sure. I also got at least one 503 SERVICE UNAVAILABLE error and another more verbose one that said something about being unable to forward a request to a server or some such thing. So yeah, as in all things SL just ride it out and hope it gets better.

Someone who isn't pretending to be hard at work will have to do that. /me giggles nervously and looks extremely guilty.  BTW, I'm getting the 503 error intermittently when I try to reply this morning too. It's totally sporadic. I click reply, get the error, hit the back button, click reply again, and it's fine. Sometimes hangs mid page-load, but that happens to me a lot here. _____________________

Yes, I've been having the 503s, too- I just wanted to reply to a post, got a 503, tried again and it tells me I already posted that reply.... so the 503 was apparently not even the posting itself but accessing the updated thread itself. I think.

HTTP 503 errors for most of the day here too.
They most probably indicate the server is overloaded or there's maintenance taking place. I'd put money on the former. _____________________

Avoid Hitting Refresh

By the way, I know it's frustrating but it's best if everybody avoids hitting refresh right after getting a 503 error. Count to 60 then hit it. If the 503s *are* occurring due to overload (and the odds lean that way), everybody hitting refresh simultaneously is going to make the situation much worse.

Yeah you lot will. My cunning plan is to stop you all hitting refresh for sixty seconds so that it works for me. What I do is, RIGHT before I hit the [refresh] button, I decide against it--in turn, successfully fooling fate, and changing an otherwise 'natural' course of events. Then when I'm absolutely sure I won't be hitting the button, I hit it! It takes practice...but it can be done. Reading 1984 and understanding 'double-think' will help. _____________________
