Wow you guys are good. I have no memory really. Anyway I got the quotation right. I also remember
Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise on its one year mission to explore new worlds and drum-up support for civilization. To boldly go where no one has gone before. To explore new worlds and make it home again.
Nope got it wrong.

Why did you create a new thread for this, what's wrong with the old one?

Not sure if the OP meant to create a new quote thread for everyone or was merely asking for information on the one quote.

"Bring me something's flesh.. "
Can't remember the movie name, but it was about these two stoned actors holed up in the UK country side with Uncle Monty in the 60s.
That was one of them asking for food.
If I could remember it, I'd post the drug dealers monologue from the end of the movie, it was brilliant.

Boy, anything can seem creepy when you take it out of context. How about "Bring me flesh and bring me wine [...] you and I will see him dine"?

We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now.

How about that dealers rant at the end... No idea, sorry. All I remember is ... I invented it in Camberwell, and it looks like a carrot.

I invented it in Camberwell, and it looks like a carrot. The greatest decade in the history of mankind is coming to an end and as Presuming Ed here has so consistently pointed out, we have failed to paint it black.

That movie sounds definitely Wodehouse-inspired. Withnail reminds me of Stanley.

You know, all these quotations from films which I dont recognize makes me realize I have either missed a whole lot when I watched the films or was too bombed to even remember title of the movie. These dont sound like chick flicks to me. I like Master and Commander and Gladiator - does that count? "Strength and Honour"????

I liked Gladiator, eh... This "Withnail and I" film is an 80s ode to the 60s. So if you were a teenager or in your 20s in the 80s and drugged fucked and believed, as we did, that the 60s must have had the really awesome drugs cuz it had the awesome music, this is a good film.

Once many years ago I rented a REALLY awful movie, titled something like "When Universes Collide". Despite the title it wasnt' sci-fi at all, in fact it was pseudo-intellectual, smug/artsy, self-important, "nuanced" pap.
Kelsey Grammar played a character prone to introspection but unlike Frasier Crane in most other ways, including living a much more blue-collar sort of life. In one scene he and his brother were wandering through a self-service auto junkyard, tool box in hand, in search of a needed repair part. As they walked they were philosophizing about family troubles. During this scene Grammar's character delivers the line: "Sometimes I am amazed at the wonder and complexity that is humankind. *pause* Then other times I think we're just solar-powered shit machines."
That line was the only decent moment in the whole movie, but I loved it.
