while waiting to find the right buyer for the island (if existing), i`m giving sl another try with hopefully some usefull help
are there any places to meet normal sane people of wich their lives doesn`t rotate around sex, cheating and bs?
also like to build with no 0.001 gaps and overlappings while possible, bad at architecture and texturing but are there any groups out there who have small/simple things for me to kill a few hours on?
if it isn`t going, i`ll be creating some extra room in my backyard for people to hold a free of charge yardsale on request, would there be any interrest in?
while there is still a 4096 plot empty, was thinking of making it available aswell for 1 time events free of charge where u can rez ur thing, set an lm and pack when done with usable water next to it, would there be any interrest for that either?
just looking to get out of the drag and meet some interresting people and get back the feeling i had when i first joined sl
thx

Unfortunately not, everyone I've met inworld is a raging nympho. From: Alicia Sautereau

Yes that will create interest, already seeing that on another sim. I'm sure there will be, I gave someone free use of a 512 parcel and he's been running all sorts of events, concerts, yard sales and a plot of the size you're offering, with water, at least put a donation box down, you deserve something for providing that.

You mean like let someone use the property to sell their unwanted stuff? I love having and going to yardsales.

From: Alicia Sautereau are there any places to meet normal sane people of wich their lives doesn`t rotate around sex, cheating and bs? Yes. And I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed ... so far! ... by your SL experience. I find that if I join groups that pursue the same interests I have in RL, they tend not to be focused on sex. The sailing group i belong to is focused on sailing and enhancing the sims they are in, the ballroom dancing group is fun, and if you are a member of any religion they are all in SL (Christians, Humanists, Buddhists, Atheists). For something less ho-hum, the groups that DO things in SL (machinima, broadcasting, open source, publications) are livelier and tend to attract some of the longer-lived AVs, who are always interesting to be with. It's easy to miss all these groups, they don't have tremendously popular sims of course. But all seem to have get-togethers. Just search for what you like to do in RL and join ... most are 0L, and open subscription. Best....

If someone addresses me with only the suspect that I am a <bliep> sex <bilep> <bliep> <bliep> person, I dump them..... I mean if that is the point someone addresses me from by default... then it is bye, hope you are well.
So... after reading your message here: Bye... I hope you are well.....

the group idea is a good idea to try again morwen, i`m not labeling anyone but so far i`ve either went to the wrong places or i`m a magnet to the fools, all i was asking is if anyone knows a place that isn`t revolving around it, but if u feel offended, i make my point

There's tons to do - think of things you'd like to do then do them. If it isn't already inworld then make it yourself!

come over to the movix sim (just search movix) and ride the train (a real working train, elevated style, with the car being of the subway type)
so think above ground subway(I know oxymoron)
while there roam around the city.
I am hoping ppl come there and like it and will decide to rent a store, or apartment or even a trailer or house
will be cool to see ppl living in the area.
Coming soon a cab system, one where you can hop in a cab, ride it to whichever location you choose from the predefined list, then when done there hop into another cab ride that, etc etc
also planning a few predefined footpaths as well (walking tours)

I've been to Movix. It's nice. I think I'm thinking of the right place. Is Movix the sim with the Prehistoric village in one corner?

search on these places and go to them:
Caledon (any and all of the Caledon sims, they're all connected.) ROMA Dinosaur Park Midnight Reflections The Blue Note (jazz club) Red Velvet (also jazz) Oyster Bay (sculpture and art, sometimes live music) The Rainforest Space (in Euclidia) Dublin The Big Easy (New Orleans recreation) Bubblegum Music Factory (dance club with a very friendly crowd of regulars) Internatinal Spaceflight Museum Silverscreen
Then search in groups for any topic you're interested in. Join it and see if they have regular events .. many do, some dont.
Explore. Call up the map, click on a random spot and teleport to it. Once there, walk around some to see the surrounding area.
there's tons to do in SL that do not involve sex etc. You just have to look for them.

Did I mention you could fly airships too? That doesn't involve sex. Unless you want it to, I suppose.

conan that is the one
eventually the village will be removed (I think, still waiting on that) to make room for more city sprawl.
plans for a hotel and another train station are on the burner, but need to have access to that corner of the sim first.
(not my sim, I manage it and have full reign, except that one portion) the owner said he will see about freeing that up for me hehe
I am glad you liked it, not sure how long ago it was that you visited, but I did more work on it today, and will be putting in the rental boxes for the trailers tonight and (hopefully) the highrise apartments

Visited about a week ago. Shame, I liked that village, and the amphitheatre next door. The place looked good though; like a proper city.

village is still there, amphitheater is a waste of prims and never gets used, so owner will be in touch with IT Wales about maybe getting an office in the office building and having a conference room about 500 meters up with a TP to it hehe
the village might stay, might go, still dunno
I too like the village, nice contrast, but alas not much use for it, we will see though
but the amphitheater really needs to go heh
you should drop back in and check out the train (if you come in via the sandbox TP it is at the platform, will be putting a TP or elevator there, maybe change the stairs to esclators)
from what I have been told it is the only working train other than the linden one (and the little kiddy type trains out there)
*shrug* no clue

*shrug* no clue Actually, FairChang has a comprehensive working monorail. I'm a big fan of sims with this kind of transit system instead of just TPing all over - I feel like realistic commuting builds a more cohessive community. Will check it out next time am in-world; I'm pretty sure I created a landmark while I was there.

interesting will have to look that one up then correct the person who told me that LOL
wonder if any city builds have working cabs, that will take you from point a to point b...
I too like the realistic type transportation
sure TP is nice for quick, but I still like riding the train hehe
(except when it decides to run off the track,,, eek)
hey accidents do happen... right?
