I appear to be missing inventory that I know should be there. What do I do?

All my folders of stuff are there but they are all empty and only can see what i am wearing. Please help me i have a lot of stuff and spent a lot of money on it.

The best advice at this early stage is to wait as it usually reappears next time you log in or maybe the next day.

or search the forum using the word "Inventory". Chances are you will get your items back. Be patient.

Clear cache and relog a few times. If that doesn't work, delete the folder at C:\Documents and Settings\"Your User Name"\Application Data\SecondLife and try again.

Otherwise, submit a support ticket.

Assuming SL as a whole is behaving, clear cache and relog into a different sim. Open your inventory and type anything random in the search box to trigger a refetch (watch the title bar).

Sounds like the sim you're on is having trouble talking to the asset server.

Also, by clear cache and relog a "few times" we mean like a dozen or so. Sometimes this problem is fixed after the first, sometimes not for several several times.

And if you need a non-laggy sim, try ANWR. It's a LL sim with nothing there but a Prim-Rig (like an oil-rig that drills for prims lol). There are sims North and South of this sim that are nothing but blank water sims. Use one of these to clear your cache and relog there.

TIP: When "forcing" your inventory to reload by Searching it, you don't need to type any characters (which starts opening folders), but can simply hit BACKSPACE and it will load as it searches for nothing =^.^=
