Windlight making av's at a distance look awful? |

I've been using Windlight because it handles teleporting so much better, however, AV's at even 10-20m away look terrible. Almost cartoonish. Is this something others are experiencing?

Isn't that the "av cloning" or whatever it's called? I know there was something about that on one of Torley's tutorials not to long ago. I think it helps lag because your viewer isn't actually downloading all the av details or something like that.

If you check the "Custom" box in your Graphics Preferences, you will see all the options that can be set beyond the 4 choices in the top of the dialog. The checkbox for Avatar Imposters is the one that turns it on or off.
I turn it off. I actually noticed some slowdown with it on. I dunno why, but it happened. I like to see everyone totally rendered anyway. There's a 'roughness' about the imposters that I just don't like. (>_<  (^_^)y _____________________
