[UPDATED 11 Dec 07, 10:44 am PST]
We’re now projecting an additional hour of down time, with re-opening scheduled for noon PST. The bulk of the maintenance work has gone as planned. However, one component of the system update has failed validation testing and must be reverted. Once the reversion and validation retesting are complete, we’ll be ready to open logins again.

Well I'd rather they got the errors before bringing the servers backup, but they seriously need to tell better lies. They never seem to overestimate how long maintenance will take.

Why? Adding more servers just means MORE empty sims...

Well, give them at least the chance to fix some things! Being hopelessly hopeful I do believe LL have found (a) bug(s) while doing their hitting on things or rather due to hitting on things, lol... so there still is a slight change that sl does improve after the maintenance... even for the few days till the weekend

Oh, Tarina, such a comment when folks in the midwest are shivering in the dark, that's just cruel. It's 80 here in Houston today as well! (giggle giggle) All kidding aside, all you SL midwesterners, stay safe and warm.

I am not one to complain about the downtimes, but these extensions are so regular that they're laughable. Why don't they learn that whatever time they determine the grid will be back up, they should add an extra hour to. Learn from Scotty LL:
Kirk: "Do you always multiply your repair estimates by a factor of four?"
Scotty: "How else to maintain my reputation as a miracle worker?"

Aye, aye,, I know,

I'm stomping and snorting at the gate as everyone else. But truly love, I'd rather it be fixed well now then have to go down again later this week or ugh worse yet on a weekend . Passes lots of pie, cakes, cookies, scones, hot choc., tea and coffee about, and pats your hand ever so softly,, it'll b alright , they promise. Besides we always all have each other on the forums to keep company till the grid re-opens Blessings,,,

From: Okiphia Rayna Why? Adding more servers just means MORE empty sims... Asset servers, so more things can get lost in our inventories Ah, well.. better they catch it now than wait for us to find it for them. There'll be plenty of bugs for us to get stepped on by afterwards. This happens every time, so I always set it at least four hours out from what they say. Then I'm always pleasantly surprised when it opens only an hour later than they said.

I bought one of your beach blankets, I'm adding to my collection for my home! Cute little store, good luck with it and so glad you don't believe in advertising
