That is what the Grid Status page called this morning's problems.

Currently, I cannot TP anywhere and my last 5 'buy freebie' actions have gotten that 'stale transaction' message. Not sure I want to chance logging out though.

Any one else having problems?

Looking at the map, while I try to do a bunch of short sim hops, it looks like a lot of sims are offline.

And these freakin web pages seem to be loading really slow too.

There's a message on the log in screen says they've closed log-ins because the central database is overloaded.

And yet they still have not posted anything on the Grid Status page or sent any sort of inworld message - okay they might have sent something inworld and many of us just never received it.

ETA: So even though I finally manged to TP home, I probably should not do anything other than sit here and chat with folks.

Had various problems, crashed, now can't get back in.

http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ hasn't been updated since the "hiccup notice" at 8:51am SLT.

Edit: someone woke up the status page: Logins Disabled - Database needs TLC

Logins have been disabled momentarily to help the database recover. We expect them to re-open within the half hour. You may see some database related issues in the meantime.

Maybe everyone who can't get in should go and give the database a big cuddle. Looks as though it needs it...

"Slight database hiccup"?!

Still getting "Login failed" here four hours after the initial report was filed; the grid has just been taken offline for emergency system maintenance.

perhaps they'd like to revise their description of the "slight" problem to something that reflects the actual user experience...

Since when does "momentarily" last for over an hour? Is "Momentarily" the new "Resolved"?

Yep, it's up. Apparently "momentarily" DOES mean "At least an hour".

1. Explain the issues in a more exact way

2. learn to spell overloaded. Spelling it as overladed gives a crap impression of SL
