Have you ever had an argument in sl?
With a partner or someone you meet?
My most memorable was with my ex-partner who was a lycanthrope - a werewolf - who having found out I was unfaithful (on numerous occasions - so I forgive him) chased me with a automatic rifle. I used "shout" so the neighbours could hear us.
Recount your experiences below

One time it was a particularly bad time of the month for me (a recurring problem) and someone pushed me across a beach. I completly lost it and cursed this poor guy for probably an hour, my friends could not even pull me off him.

I had an argument on my first day in SL. It was with a demented lecherous little parrot on orientation island.

My ex-partner (funny how a lot of these posts start that way) and I had a vicious couple of arguments towards the end. After one of them she stormed off saying "when you are ready to apologize you know where to find me." I replyed "On the other side of the toilet paper."

At the time I thought it was a very good comeback. A few days later I went to apologize and found her in bed with another woman. ... talk about mixed emotions .... ;) :(

I have, but not public arguments. I cannot stand arguing with anyone or confrontations. :(

Only one I can think of - at a beach dancefloor. I TP'd in and walked to the middle of floor and got a telling off for bumping someone who accused me of being a noob. But A), people hadn't rezzed in view and I thought floor was empty and B) owner had moved landing point to middle of dancefloor since my previous visit! The slanging got a bit heated but we made up in IM's afterwards.

People should rez before walking.

I use a no-push script now continually to keep my self from repeating that incident :)

A sense of humor

avoids almost all arguments. SL certainly feels real at times but why would anyone want to carry their anger and animosity into a world they escape to.

I haven't found anything yet to get angry about in my short time but if I did, those emotions would also bring humor with them, that I was getting so into a 3D pixel world that it was able to go beyond my desire for enjoyment and add in stress.

A good exercise. As soon as you get angry simply remember the first time you tried to wear what you thought was a single article of clothing and ended up with a box around your arm or the first time you tried a pose with another person and ended up oddly out of synch or within a tree. It puts it all in perspective.

I have fought with prims that won't stay put or do what I wanted..
I would move them few feet and they would return to where I original rezzed them.
Eventually I just let them think they won.
Stopped and just deleted them.
That showed those annoying prims trying to argue with me.

A fabulous one with my ex when breaking up with him, in the vain hope that if he thought he'd dump me I'd not get snotty emails to my workplace. Still got snotty emails to my workplace (and no they did not get me into trouble).

There's only one person I have ever met and taken a complete hate on to. She was obnoxious as all hell from the get-go because she knows I had known her husband for a long time and owned a lot of land in the same sim, perhaps. She was just a bitch ... and I did let her have it all guns blazing to tell her what I thought of her in no uncertain terms when she was expecting me at 3am my time - as I was about to go to bed - to turn up and deal with a tiny little bit of tree (we're talking a few pixels really) poking through a wall which was in a butt ugly club anyway - if she hadn't been obnoxious all the time - and really rude and demanding - I'd have been all apologies (was prim drift, basically) and there that second. As it was I did deal with it right away and in the end I had to put her on ignore.

Her husband was appalled and offered to buy my 1024 at a relatively high price, to make amends, which I accepted and gave the money to a friend who had given me the land for nothing (she had lived on it rent free for about 9 month originally when I owned most of that sim). So it was an ill wind which blew someone some good but sadly didn't animate the one brain cell this creature has.

As a rule I don't get angry with people in public. I have had arguments with SL exes of course..but in IM or even out of SL in google chat.

The only time I got publicly angry was in a club - and one that's a bit well known too. Some bereft-of-character person there began insulting another avatar. Let's say it was VERY anti-Semitic and a certain German dictator was mentioned by this guy with a bit of admiration. When I say I got "angry"..inside I was seething...what I said was something like, "Please don't talk to someone else like that." The fellow who was being insulted TP'd out of there.

The guy took issue with me in open chat and my BF silenced him in IM.

But you know what bothered me more than that idiot? The rest of the patrons of the club accused ME of starting "drama". It's a sad world when people stand by and just let injustices happen because it's not "cool" to say anything.

I'm still only a few weeks old (though I feel like I've been here forever.....something to do with giving up that ol' archaic habit - "sleep";), but I finally got "orbited" a few days ago...

Since my "inception" date, besides being social, I've been hard at work learning to build and script, not to mention dealing with 3rd party 3D apps, so getting orbited was something that really set me off. Luckily I was wearing a newly purchased HUD, which informed me who the perpetrator was.

After returning from the stratosphere, I snuck up on him and gave him a taste of his own medicine (I've since learned that using valuable SIM resources is not the correct path but damn if it didn't feel wonderful!) and told him basically [certain portions of east-coast vitriol have been edited out] that I would make it my life's mission to make his SL experience completely miserable on a daily basis and that I would lose sleep, income and all social life in order to achieve this, and asked him if he really wanted to go there.....

I actually got an apology (didn't expect that) and some lame story detailing how this new "briefcase" he just bought had "malfunctioned"....
