From: Jodina Patton It may not be reasonable to expect every transaction to be perfect but It is reasonable to have the issue corrected when there is trouble. Linden Lab must step up and fix these things being it is their service that is causing the trouble. I don't disagree at all with that... and have said so.

And may I point out another irksome thing.
In the real world, if something goes wrong, there is recourse for the individual. One just doesn't spend $840 for a piece of land, not receive it, and then get told, "Well, them's the breaks."

In the real world, one usually has to persue restitution, and short of being able to afford that "Them's the breaks." Same here, only a bit more difficult. Ok, a lot more difficult. Kinda like it was in the real world 150 years ago away from major cities in the US.

Here, there is none, in many cases. People have been out big money due to glitches, and nothing is done. coco

From: Jillian Callahan Checking to see if the search function works, and works in a timely manner before buying. Taking a copy of a creation into inventory before removing the item from the sim. Peeking at the blog before doing anything you might regret.
I'm not saying there's a perfect way to avoid the problems, but please, people know there are problems. I lost hours of scripting work a few days ago. But I'm not going to whine about things everyone already knows is badly screwed up, mostly because I know the risks I was taking before it bit me. Thanks for your polite reply to my mouthy comment, Jill. Those are good measures, indeed. /me slinks away, properly chastised.

Has anyone else noticed land sales have ceased? A tenant of mine has not been able to buy an extra spot on the island.

Regarding the 2.5 plot in Schilli, I visited that area as well. According to one of the other residents of the sim, (which was also was being griefed by wannabe buyers) the plot was set to a specific person for 2.5, and should have never shown on the public land sale list in the first place.

From: Guile Kidd I was the one! Paid and did not receive the land. Contacted lindens and had no response, submitted a ticket, and nothing so far. Hope someone is taking care of it. Welcome to S Hell

From: Johan Laurasia Um? How about dont buy land (or perform any sort of transactions, or rez no copy items) when SL is borked? It's not paticularly difficult to figure out when it is. Check the blog, read the forums here, (God knows when SL is borked the forums explode with complaints imediately), talk to friends who are on already, etc. Right, don't do anything ever!!!!

A tenant couldn't buy an extra plot on my island last night, she was getting a message about needing to be premium for some odd reason (which isn't the case unless I've missed an important update). However her friend came along and managed to purchase it for her.

However her friend came along and managed to purchase it for her. He was able to pick it up within an hour, but at that moment, the option to buy was unavailable. Maybe there was a short delay? On another note: in the last few days FREEZING is prevalent. Has this been common with other people? This only started to begin and is becoming more frequent in the last few days. If it is common, I REALLY hope they are planning to fix that soon because that is the most aggravating thing ever. I can refrain from buying, building, tping, searching, or playing some games...but to keep freezing is unplayable. solutions?

I've bought and sold 7 512 mainland plots today with no problems (warming up for the Mainland sim I'm going to win in the wee hours tonight).
