Personal Assistant!

You know, in real, I am truly a great person to work for. I can have peopel who work for (and with me) in stitches. I actually got applause last week
Trouble is, I am more like one of the women in Absolutely Fabulous than you can imagine. This girl is gonna be my "Bubble" (the PA in AbFab).
And NO, she is NOT my Alt.

Okay, I think she could be living in teh Far East - not sure about that - she could be living in Balham for all I know, But as soon as I cotact her, I'll run her through what I need to have done. I was thinking of telling people to IM me through her so I didnt get all jammed up as I always do (it's tough being Jig and answering all the fan mail, I can assure you). Then I'll get her on to the forums. Then when Pep give us one of his disatribes about how we should "speaka da Englesa", I'll cry "havoc!" and let loose the PA of war!

Please dont let this thread disappear until this girl wakes up. I need this woman. And want her to see this.

Yes, I did. but I still need to actually met her. I sent her a notecard with what I required from a PA here - management of my forum presence, organising my gallery-homes and visiting art galeries, fielding IMs, listening to Hal rabbit on about the British economy, listening to me without interrupting, providing me with up-to-date info on whazappenin' general, and guarding what is mine from everyone else.
If there's any thing I've left out, I'll think of it.
She'll be amply recompensed - just knowing me should be a blast for anyone coming to sl from reality. I'll have to put her through her paces but I have good vibes about this one.
I hired an Israeli guy a year back but all he wanted to do was go to bed with me. I need a PA not a toyboy. Ayway, Hal's back so I have to give him some of my very precious sl time.

I can see the PA's avie now, drooping (like the avies do when afk) over from sheer exhaustion.

LOL But I applaud her for job seeking in a world where most jobs are service industry or "pretend" - she really will be busy.

You just dont know how I cope with all my IMs and people who insist on seeing me. My groups, my forums, Hal, and a few other friends with benefits. She'll focus for now on my "image" in forum. I think it needs some repair after the past few weeks.

I mean this is really a VERY sl related thread - after all, what jobs do we all do in sl? Obviously this is a relaxing diversion for peopel like me or you - but some people really see this as a means to gain income. I dont mean the scripters and shop-keepers, but what about the other people? Whoring and scuffling around in bars isnt exactly what the Lindens had in mind.

hen SL opens up in more developing countries (as it will do) what will people expect to do here? How will it engage artists and technical types or architects in practise. This really has huge opportunties if it dealt with correctly.

I think it is a wonderful opportunity. I also fall in the "other people" category. In my second year, I decided I wanted to have a purpose in sl. I don't build nor create and definitely can't sing. I wasn't interested in stripping, escorting or any work in that arena. Modeling doesn't appeal to me because I have plenty of clothes.

So for us "other people" jobs are very limited.

Yes, it's true. Some people ae shy even here and need to have direction. PAs are perfect. I can hardly wait until she wakes up and gets her tea and toast and begins as my asst. here.
Seriously, it will give her some purpose and she'll learn a few important things about sl. I am a sorta expert. As you must all agree. Even Pep recognizes that fact.
And she can be the "voice" of the readers. She will keep envious at bay and remind me no to over-stretch myself.

Ok, seeing as your new PA is taking such a long time at getting around to what I see as her MAIN task (which is editing Pep's posts), I thought I'd put together a sort of sample of how it might be done, as a guide, if you will, for her future endeavours.

You didn't do as good a job as they did over in Second Citizen, where they put my posts temporarily (as if they thought they could shut me up! ) through the Swedish Chef translator.

It did occur to me that properly done she could also do some kinda work for the real me for next to nothing. But that wouldnt be fair to the other slaves, now would it?
