From: Marianne McCann 'course, any one they make will end up with the first buyers flipping the land prices to 11, and the appearance of the old "For Sell" signs along the roads. Scamland. I like it. Maybe that's where we can have Congressmen. And you can have SL banks being forced to loan you money you can't afford to pay back to buy land.

If any of you guys bank with Bank of America this may interest you. It's more of a Public Service Announcement than a polotical rant, but I heard this last night and it infuriated me. I do a lot of business with BoA, and I was beside myself., I had to pull over while driving. In essence, the AG of New York, Andrew Cuoma has put out a report essentially stating that BoA were forced to take on Merrill Lynch by Federal Reserve and Treasury Officials, under threat of it's management being removed. Basically, "If you won't do it, we'll fins someone who will." This outrageous. Just another example of the Governemnt interfering with probably the most vital industry this country has, as they have been doing for years and destroying it. This merger has brought BoA to the brink of ruin. I'm sorry for the bringdown, but it's my monety these sons of bitches are pissing away, and I'm tired of it. http://www.oag.state.ny.us/media_center/2009/apr/apr23a_09.htmlI'm going to take Boomer for a walk now.

I'm with Maelstrom on this. I think we need a continent that has no limitations for flying or sailing.

From: Pserendipity Daniels Riverworld Pep (Copyrighted?) RIP Philip José Farmer and copyright enforcement depends on who is enforcing DMCA violations for the Estate. Due to the recent Dune Themed removal, I would error on the side of caution. Themed........ hmmmmmmmmmm Russian Revolution or Knight Templar complete with actual last names doled out by LL as a perk

In the early tests for Second Life free roaming animals were planned...its a shame this line of investigation died.
I thnk its a great pity that citizens of sl have to pay to put birds, insects fish and animals on their land when these things could be there.....
Lindens should devote some land to developing virtual life.

But, yes, continents based on our other planets and moons as well as fictional alien worlds and 'middle-earth' themed continents (for the WoW & EQ fans) would be awesome. The possibilities are endless.

Lindens should devote some land to developing virtual life. It would be nice and certainly look nice, but I'd prefer to have it the way it is. LL has done excellent jobs on creating some very lifelike animals and they are able to make a profit from it. I feel the same way about skins. LL has vastly improved the looks for noobs options, but they still don't look nearly as good as others out there for sale. If LL began having av's looking almost as good as someone who's been around awhile, then they are likely to keep it. We'd end up seeing skin stores closing down.

A continent of 1kmx1km sims.
A continent of sims with variable gravity. Or no gravity. Or gravity normal to the surface of the nearest prim.
A continent of sims with Runitai's old water.
A continent of sims where all parcels are private... all that gets downloaded to the client across parcel borders is the terraforming.
A continent of sims connected in a non-euclidean framework, for example a toroid or Lobachevskian manifold. I don't think Riemannian would work because of the singularities.

From: Five Denver Stop showing off or I'll beat you to death with my rhomboid. Aww, don't you want a continent where five sims come together at every corner? Cthulhu Fhtagn! Actually, there's one Riemennian manifold that would work, a continent where the sims are connected like the inner faces of a cube, with three sims coming together at each corner. Rendering the optical distortion around the corner singularities might be a little dodgy, though.

From: Dytska Vieria Anything from one on Jack L. Chalker's books. How about the one where everyone gets turned into mutant half-human half-equine sex slaves and decides that they were more fulfilled as mutant half-human sex slaves than as outgoing self-reliant individuals? Or the one where everyone's turned into mutant lemuroid sex-slaves and desides that they're better off as mutant lemuroid sex-slaves than as outgoing self-reliant individuals. Or the one where the only hope for survival is to get turned into stunning statuesque sex-slaves and... well... you know how it goes.

Lindens should devote some land to developing virtual life. Only if we have the power to hunt them down and make them extinct.

From: JamesMichael Morane I'd love something from the film noir era........cool cars....jazz everywhere......art deco buidlings......... That would be so cool. Maybe something like the American urban experience, between 1940 and 1965, perhaps best typified by Chicago circa 1950 and marked by a distinct deco influence. Ya... a place like... Ya. That would be great if they did something like that.
