Ban list managment

Ban list is very important and I'd say one of the most important parcel functions. I think it needs much more options like export-import list. Then, adding is lil strange, I always add first calling card from my inv..
Anyway, can someone tell me if there's any way to manipulate the list? Export, import copy etc? Maybe using LSL scripting?

Another question about ban list.
I'm adding new parcel to old one. Will my old ban list be removed/cleared when I join 2 parcels and is there any way to make new parcel keep old names?

Thanks

I always try to keep my ban list and mute list empty. That is the case at the moment. I have banned and muted one or two people in the past but when the problem has blown over I unban or unmute them.

Yes I understand you. It really depends on what are you doing in SL. For me ban list is esential.

assuming your new parcel has no banlist already, it will not delete the existing banlist. at least not in my experience. im not sure if this is a function of which parcel you claimed earlier or which parcel is largest. i am 99% certain that you wont lose your banlist if the new parcel you join is both smaller and acquired more recently.
in any case you should take a screenshot of your banlist for backup purposes.

not positive about the lsl angle. i have seen security devices that write to the banlist but ive never seen one import bans from it.

i think you would be pretty happy using banlink btw. www.slbanlink.com

I understand too, especially if you have a large, busy venue, one's likely to need to ban quite a few people.

I only have a home with a little shop, so, touch wood, I haven't had any troublemakers there.

When I join parcels of land, I always select the one whose details I wish to retain LAST. I don't know if that makes any difference but I seem to retain details whan I do that.

I'd ban everyone in SL from my parcel but the list isn't long enough ;

With LSL you can add or remove people from the list, but there is no way to read the list in.

Ban list management

Why would you want to ban the management of lists?

Pep (Isn't English wonderful?)

You still don't understand do you?

Pep (I merely try to point out that if you can't express your opinions/questions/comments clearly then responses to them are likely to be less than helpful)

I was *not* being critical of you at all, Pinos. You expressed yourself very clearly and have no need to apologise.

Pep (I was reflecting on my initial interpretation of an ambiguous title; I did the same to Lindal's, and she is a native English speaker)

Yes, I know but I thought maybe I really didn't formulated it right.

Not at all. You got it right. It's not your fault that even good English can be misunderstood so easily.

Pep (Now, if your poll had asked how many *band* residents you had on a parcel that would have been different :D )

With properties I previously owned I had to ban maybe up to 5 people and it usually was some obnoxious newbie. The mute list is a whole different story. That goes into high gear when I am at a concert due to those annoying gestures and insidious giggling.
