How good is the Jira system?

I think the reason the pjira looks ignored is because they don't use it. LL's devs use thier own internal jira. Only popping into the public jira to ask a question or "import" to their fancy private jira.
So, IMO the only important thing about bugs in the public jira is to get them imported(too internal) so they actually get looked at/fixxed.

There are some tricks to getting things imported. I do it right under everyones noses. Best trick is to figure out which linden dev fixxed/broke it last. Dropping a notecard(or email) describing the issue and refferencing the pjira to the correct dev gets things imported and even fixxed very quickly.

For example, I am still finding minor edge case havok 4 bugs. I forward them dirrectly to Simon, who promptly sets the jira robot loose too import the issue.

JIRA makes the little baby Jesus cry.

I put up a suggestion oh, what, at least a year ago? To put a Worn Tab in the Inventory? People voted for it, thought it was a great idea, then someone else went out of their way to write a patch for it. It's being used in other clients. It's been proven to work. It's been assigned to a Linden. I've sent e-mail to Lindens about it. It's completely 100% ready to go, and it still languishes in JIRA. This is yet another area that Linden Lab neglects in its drive to justify Second Life as an "educational and/or business platform."
