OK...got home and tried to log into SL.
-Clicked on Start/ SecondLIfe Windlight
I'm told that a new release viewer is out and that I need to DL it....ok
- DL the new viewer
-Restart SL
- I am ruthed and suddenly using the default SL viwer...NOT the WL viewer which I had originally tried ot start with.
- Shut down SL and confirm this by verifying that I am using the WINDLIGHT link.
- Same thing...all over again " a new release viewer is out and I need to install it"
ummm...ok
- DL and install the new release viewer
"you alreday have this viwer installed, would you like to reinstall"
...why yes...yes I would...because the first one was BORKED!!
-finish DLing and ..thats right...the standard viwer again
and no...I haven't hunted down the windlight version yet
did I miss a memo?
is WL gone?

Sounds like the WL and RC viewers are the same now, if I read this thread correctly...

yup...saw that...thanks.
I had read that, but the main start up screen is the old default screen from way back instead of the pretty WL screen. And everything was defaulted backt o the old settings.....sigh... /me deletes all of the useless Windlight icons |
