One more thing... a lot of people I've met on the scene (sub and Dom/me) find it hard to take someone calling themselves 'Goddess', 'Mistress', 'Master', 'LadyHighEmpressOfTheUniverse' etc. seriously.
QFT ... on the UK scene I just was my own first name.

Finding subs/slaves is not hard - avoiding dramas is hard. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it! Be sure you want it first. hmmm that's all the pocket advice I have for the next few minutes

Seems like there would be vast commodity of submissive and bottom types because usually out populate the Dominates/tops in the Gay scene, maybe its different for Heterosexuals

Dommes of either stripe are rare as rocking horse crap. Ones who know what they are doing are rarer still. Ones who know what they are doing and are prepared to put in the time and effort with someone who gives not a lot back are rarest of all. On the other hand clueless gobby/potentially abusive idiots and self centred self absorbed women who identify as dominant are far more readily available and generally at a price (in any world, and not aimed at anyone specific). As are women who are Trying Too Hard or have a harem ... lol.

Although I think in SL, subs who could actually deal with such a domme are fairly rare too (as opposed to the ones for whom being able to 'get off' whenever they log in is the priority) - and many of them will insist on voice, or even cam. This I actually find really interesting as it seems that the idea of a relationship between virtual avatars which involves real emotions has been substantially weakened, at least in that area - which is understandable, since it does involve an awful lot of risk.

GoddessAnnabella,
If you enable your private messages for the forum, you may get a few interested people from here. In world, try Dominant Encounters.

As are women who are Trying Too Hard or have a harem ... lol. Totaly agree. Ive met some really bad dommes here in sl. ones who think doing a scene is calling thier girls names then leaving them chained to a post, or others who want Magic Mirrors subs (Domme: who's the fairest of them all? Subs: You are Mistress...) and others who want just want pets to follow them around on a leash while shopping / dancing. Being a good domme is a lot of work, and I find it moreso in SL. 90% of scene design is on the Dommes shoulders here it seems, which I think is wrong. Having a good sub with an active imagination who can help think up scenes its a great boon, I know some Dommes think its Topping from the bottem but over the long run if you want a successful relationship you really have to be partners first and Domme/Sub second. Back to the op, definitly change your name. subs will be laughing to hard to take you seriously, same with your apearance. Dont dress up as a characture of a domme. One of the best Dommes I know in SL goes around in jean and a tee. no need for head to toe latex and leather with Hair that reaches the floor. in SL your domming with your personality, not your avatar. To meet subs, search for bdsm clubs or hangouts. Usualy lots of people there, but Dont try and Domme right off, if you find someone date them a few times, talk *a lot* about bdsm and what you and they want out of it, everyone is different, and though people often think of bdsm as whips and chains and torture its much more that that and covers and entire rainbow of fetishes. finding someone who matches your fetishes is the hardest part.

Heh... Shopping with my dolly on a leash is actually very convenient. She gets lost often so it's a great way to keep her in check. (^_^) I've kinda been trying to dodge the title 'domme' since I see myself as more of a partner and a mistress, which I believe to be a much tamer title. Still... I run in to plenty of self-proclaimed dom(mes) that are pretty darned shocked when we're introduced to see me all neko-ed up or battery powered as I was this weekend. (^_^) Even when I'm Little Immy, our relationship isn't broken, just less graphic. And I still get tagged with the title... I just have to nail it down as being taken at face value. (=_=) As for finding subs... All the answers here are pretty much right on. The best I can add is to give it time. Let the crowds see your personality and eventually the one you'll click with will stand out above the rest. (^_^)y
