Is it just me and my sim or is SL just going WACKO the last two days?

I have major fails in scripts. Ive been resetting everything. they will work for a short bit and then fail again.

simple things to complex, even the simple sit scripts now flys its little error flag, my clubs full of them.
THEN I noticed my tip outs have been next to nothing and low and behold all my scripted expensive tip jars are flying flags intermitentlly as well. I took and replaced three times but it did no good.


that and textures that keep snapping and prims that wont stay put. Ive run this place for months with "0" real problems and now the last two days have been hell.

Any suggestions other than grin and bear it?

It's not just you. It's probably related to the network problems that have been mentioned on the grid status page.

Ciera, it really could be the network problems that have plagued the grid since Friday night.

My sim went offline for quite awhile on Thursday night, and again very early this morning. Things were bad enough when it was online I didn't even try to build there, but I am guessing if I had it wouldn't have gone well. My avatar wouldn't rez in on my building platform where I generally run very well (45+ FPS), and Slex lost contact with my Slex box. Also, all the parcels on my island seem to have fallen out of the All search for the day, presumably because the region was down for a fair amount of time.

Of course it could be that everything is really working properly for you but you are convinced otherwise because you've gone completely WACKO.

I've lost track of what's deployed right now, but there was a pretty serious problem with scripts in one of the recent sim drops--I think the first Main Grid deploy of Mono--that prevented state_exit event handlers from running. Now, probably 90% of scripts don't even use multiple states, let alone do anything on state_exit, but any script that depended on those event handlers could have a problem. *If* that's still the current version, even.

It's also possible for a sim to get itself into a condition where bizarre script errors just keep happening. I've had to have restarted one of the Mainland sims where I operate because one simple LSL function just wasn't doing anything any more. The reboot fixed it, and I've never seen it or anything like it before or since. But before asking for that, it would be good to find out precisely what is going wrong, so that LL might be able to prevent it in future releases.

That's about the script errors. The other stuff: yeah, sounds like some of the standard symptoms of network problems.

I had similar problems with scripts not working and doors moving out of doorways.

Have you placed a support ticket? Last time they had to restart the sim where my parcel was located.

I too have had doors resetting and moving all over the place.

Even more maddening is the TP situation. I have not been able to get in or out of my sim reliably now for the last 3 days. For a sim that is a music venue, this has effectively closed my operation for the whole weekend, with all acts cancelled.

still, I'm sure the tier fee collection server is still working fine. It never seems to fail!

This has been a horribly irritating weekend, and I've stuck out several Category 5 LL screw ups. Besides the TP disaster on both days, now I can't even post to the forums. Wait. This worked. Hail, Mary!

I've had moving green dots on my minimap... with no other avies on the sim.

Also my sharks tend to rocket off into space for no reason

An entire trunk of 100's of avatar items (including clothes/shoes/jewelry) that was rezzed on my land as a PRECAUTION against missing inventory items poofed off my land. I discussed it in this thread: /327/17/280331/1.html

I spoke with LL Live Chat who told me they could not restart a mainland sim. But then restarted a mainland sim for another resident (who is the one who recommended I request this).

I wish LL would form policies and stick with them.

Or just return my trunk that poofed.

its been a weird few days for me too...my new void sim i couldnt get too , or cross over too (yes i blamed it on the fact it was a VOID! lol) but even now..my onrez & slx boxes are going nuts on my old sim, delivery failure, then repeats and its ok (my email notifications are HUGELY high with this problem) Scripts have gone WILD, errors all over..ive seen lots of green dots on my land..then they just vanish...i move things, they move right back to the original location.

My clothes arent rezzing, then they do..then they dont..prim attachments are patchy ...and everytihng is SO VERY slow to load, and im on a NEW FABULOUS pc that before thursday...everything was cool on.

I hope this is resolved soon, been spending all my time resolving thigns and not moving forwards or having much fun
