Does anyone remember that Catwalk (non SL) video?

It was posted here some time ago.

It's a demo (well supposed to be a demo) of a program that's going to be like SL but with 100x better graphics.

but then again, possibly all hot air and it's not real (just pre-rendered hype)

but it looked dam good anyway :)

Does anyone remember the video and what I'm talking about?

It was on YouTube and I can't find it.

I think I vaguely recall what you are talking about. It was a video tour of a hyper-realistic house that was "advertised" as Second Life 2.0.

Here's the thread...

Thanks for the reply.

Not sure we're thinking about the same though.

This was talked about as being some NEW program being designed, All DX10 graphics or something like that, and I think it was just a few different catwalk women animations, with jaw dropping clothing that flowed perfectly around the Avatars legs and arms.

There was quite a lot of talk about it on these forums at the time, debating if it was possible or real or just hype etc.

the only 1 thing was sure. We all wanted it.... :)

==== EDIT ====

Just looked at your YouTube link. No it's not that, sorry.

This was more FANCY and mainly showed female Avatars and flowing cloths on a catwalk.

Hmmm... the only other one I'm aware of myself is Avatar Reality's Blue Mars project.

I remember that video, but I don't remember the name of the company right now. They never showed any playable stuff, just promo scenes, especially the one with models swooshing (and if you looked closely jiggling) down the runway.

I'll do some digging to see if I can find it.

I don't think it was Blue Mars, because if I am remembering the right one, it was a youtube and all the text was in, I think, Korean? It wasn't really like SL, more like just a chatroom with avatars. I can't remember the name though, sorry - just, yes, the clothes!

There are several videos on youtube, but this one is just the runway bit.

You can download the demo to run on your PC here:

Think I need a better PC.
My Benchmark score for the demo (on my system) was only about 10.2 frames/sec average :(

It would be fun to use my current gfx card as a dedicated PhysX card and get a new one for general use but I've had trouble justifying that degree of brattery to myself ;-D
