Unless his mishap was running his arm through a bandsaw and that's not the patient's blood, I'm still going to notice. There isn't much that's going to distract me if I'm bleeding out in some doctor's office. I may be a little ADD, but I focus really well when I'm about to die.

Are you saying I'm not distracting? *pouts*

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

LL has already made some improvements to the way avatars look under Windlight, so it *should* be possible to make more, but they don't seem inclined to do so. I don't wander around staring at the skies and water...I look at builds and avatars, and I know I'm not the only one, so I see no particular justification in damaging that content to 'improve' the other.

LOL don't forget I only just got it so am inclined to walk around gawping at the sky and water - occasionaly banging into builds and avatars. Very nice av, but are you standing in a pool of blood or red wine?

@John,

I didn't do it on purpose ( said with childish voice and attempt to look innocent )

No it really was an accident, but a happy one in the end.

By the sounds of things he was talking about rewarding you Amy.

lol, it's just some abstract art-ish background in reds and grays. I chose it for the colors, although I thought the 'blood' effect was sort of amusing with the nurse's uniform.

Very distracting, but if I've been injured to the point where I'm soaking the sheetrock with my own blood, I'm going to be extremely engaged in trying to not die, and I don't think anyone is going to distract me from that until I've managed to stabilize myself - maybe stop the bleeding and throw a few stitches in there to hold things together.

Then, assuming I haven't passed out from blood loss, my attention is all yours.

Edit - just to stay on topic - Amy, I recently got a new desktop hat blows my old one away, and I love the way SL looks on it, too. I'm with you - I walk around staring at the sky and water as well, although I've noticed that it makes the avatar mesh look awful in a lot of cases. Faces in particular seem really bad.

Congrats on the new rig!

Mine are quite good:

My avi still looks horrid in Windlight.

Ann, that pic is stunning. You are stunning. I don't know what you're on about with this "horrid" stuff.

Trout, this is where you say:
"Hellooooooo, Nurse!"

(From Animaniacs, BTW, but I don't think it's original with that show).

That's the other issue. You may find settings which work OK for you and let you trot merrily around SL, but you have absolutely no idea what you may look like to others since they can customize their own settings as well. Which is why I'm going to turn off the atmospheric shaders the majority of the time when they force the switch...if my av isn't going to look the way I want her to on other viewers anyway, I may as well keep her looking pretty to me. *shrug*

That was on the regular viewer. She does look horrid in Windlight...it seems like very pale skins and very dark skins kind of get the shaft. :(

Holy cow. You know the difference between a normal .45 and one that's been tricked out for competition AND you are the only one who has EVER gotten the Animaniacs reference.

I'm speechless. I think I have to start stalking you now.

No way! I knew they said that in Animaniacs, but it seemed too simple...I figured some other show did it originally. Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, ffs.

A good picture Amy, you most certainly look like a nice girl.

However, it might have helped just a little bit though if you had explained you were blond in your first post. It would have answered many unanswered questions and puzzles in your first post about your mishaps, and of course your devised cunning solution to your problems.

I find it always helps to be upfront about these things and I feel sure if you ask your nice helpful male computer literate friend in RL about your mishaps he would (tactfully) agree

Helpfully yours

Regards

John

LMAO

And John, I would point out that not all us blondes are the same... well sort of not the same...

Meanwhile I have noticed many differences now - palms for example. My old favourites the Heart VR ones do not look as good as the ee Oh ones in Windlight. As I write ee Oh himself is replanting my entire sim. (Sorry Lilith - I still love your shrubs though ;-)

Ok, sorry about the double post but ee has finished now and the results are amazing!

I would recommed him to anybody who needs palms - see for yourself in my sim. Search for "Buffy's Cove" or tp straight into Viligili
