Which is it? Linden Lab or Linden Labs? Does the co-location in Texas count as a lab? Where is the first lab? Is Dexter in there? Pie?

There are some people who make a past time out of correcting people on the name, Officially it is Linden Lab. But really in the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. Unless maybe you intend to file a lawsuit.

There's an actual lab, also. It's a big white room with long tables and lots of guys in white coats milling about pouring things from one beaker to another and heating test tubes over bunsen burners. They are currently engaged in isolating the gene that causes Migrating Hair Syndrome (MHS). They used to work on curing cancer, but it turns out that's REALLY, REALLY hard, so they gave up.
Don't worry, though, they don't experiment on animals. Unless we count as animals. _____________________

What if ....... their first office had been in a different street? ....... and by some strange destiny, the name now reflected the level of customer satisfaction? Are there any real SF street names that fit the bill? |

Strange but true.. http://www.slhistory.org/index.php/Linden The name "Linden" comes from the street Linden Lab's first offices were located on: 333 Linden Street. They have since moved twice, the second location coincidently on Second Street, and the current offices on Sansome Street _____________________

Actually Second Life is {supposed} to be a project on Human interaction over the internet, it used to say that somewhere, but it turned into something much bigger. Hence the name Labs. |

Actually Second Life is {supposed} to be a project on Human interaction over the internet, it used to say that somewhere, but it turned into something much bigger. Hence the name Labs. I've posted in other threads about my theory that LL deliberately create information vacuums in order to study the human interaction as we try to work out WTF. |
