I think this is an Oxymoron but I wanted to hear other folks dealing with the SLX Customer Service team... My recent events with them are in the makings of a blog as I feel everyone needs to see the dealings I have had the misfortune of having with them, the "I am not a representative of SL Exchange -- I am the Service Manager" in particular..... If I were to call a department in my company Customer Service, that is what it would be. SLX's version is a far cry from any service I have ever seen or encountered in both SL oRL ... Its more like a place for one person to play Goddess & if you dont like it be banned lol.... Anyhow more of that in the soon to be published BLOG.... Not sure it this is appropriate here, if not feel free to flame me or remove this post Bambii

Agreed, SLexchange has given me excellent service. They spent an entire week trying to deliver a purchase to me that would not show on my end. They never figured out the problem, possible sim comunications or something, so the manager actually took possession of the item and had to "Give" it to me in my profile, lol. That to me, was above and beyond their responsibility.

Bambii that is odd, as most of the people I have heard from have had pretty good service from SLExchange. I've used them only occasionally, and have never had a problem with the service.
Also, SLExchange does have their own forums, where you can discuss the problem in much greater detail than you can here. You might also get it resolved there, as opposed toposting here, or some blog.
Take it back to them, I'm sure they will take care of you.

Positive experience with Customer Service
10-06-2007 12:26
I've only had one need to contact them. I withdrew money from an ATM and waited 24 hours but still not deposit in SL account.
I opened a trouble ticket and they returned my money, probably within 4 - 6 hours of opening the ticket.
No complaints here.

I got a warning once from them.. but that was my own silly fault for not reading the fine print. And they were very polite about it!
I just had an issue crop up and it was resolved in 24 hours and just as polite as possible. Frankly, if I were to complain about poor customer service, it'd be on LL's part... but that's a different thread. I mean, I filed it yesterday and by less than 24 hours, they had it fixed. I'm pleased as punch with them.

The vague nature of the original post and the fact that she has been banned leads me to suspect the OP probably did something to deserve it. I have been doing business with SLE for over 2 years and have always recieved excellent customer service from them.

The Lindens could take pointers from the staff at SLX. I think they do a kick ass job. Some people do not like them because they do not take anyones crap either. Show them respect and they give it back.

The customer service at SLX is so good LL should hire them all to take over their customer service.

well this isnn't really the place to discuss this and probably should go to a private forum but slx customer service is a subjective thing based on like of the individual so uh yeah if they didn't like you to start with they probably were mean and can get somewhat well "snooty" and then slide into "unhelpful" and well then.. anyhow it basically depends how much they like you which is directly proportional to the amount of praise you heap on them on a daily basis..
lol oi something is wrong with me today i'm starting to write stuff that is almost funny..

From: Daniel Regenbogen My experience with the SLX customer service is excellent - SL could learn LOTS from them! Boy, you said a mouthful there Daniel. I've had a few problems with SLX (usually deposits at a terminal not showing in my balance) and each and every time the problem has been resolved quickly and courteously. Everything from having a terminal moved on my land to not receiving purchases. All handled well. Couple of anecdotes while I'm thinking about it. I remember first coming to SL and getting started on a build for a soon to be dead radio station and seeing all this COOL STUFF everywhere. I'd always mention to the venue operator "Wow, that's really nice. Where could I get that?". The answer would inevitably come back "You can get it on SLX" or "Search SLX" or something to that effect. So, being the duteous newb I was, I used SL's search for places looking for "SLX". Every place I'd go to of course wouldn't actually BE SLX but a parcel with a terminal. I (wrongly of course) came to the conclusion that SLX was nothing but an instant teller and figured that everybody recommending it was quite insane. Finally, after my 4th or 5th tp I was standing in front of the machine and the monitor rezzed a texture with the website address. I typed it into my browser and I've been broke ever since...lol. The other was when I had TerminalBigWig come to my parcel and install a terminal. After he was done he asked me to make a deposit to make sure it was working. I needed to make a purchase anyway so I thought I'd deposit what I needed - 900L's. Well of course, the transaction failed (that was back around the release of 1.15somethingorother I think it was that had all the transactions borked for a good long while). Anyway, I looked at BigWig and said "I guess I should have started with 1L to be safe huh?". We both laughed and he walked me through putting in a support ticket and within an hour my 900L's show up in my account. So again, back on topic, overall nothing but great experiences with SLX and their customer service.

From: BEARintheMorning Holmer So again, back on topic, overall nothing but great experiences with SLX and their customer service. umm i haven't and I dont want SL to follow slx's example because if you breath sideways they dont like it and ban you or did when i was there but had no rules but banned anyhow unless its had a 100% turn around I think their customer service is terrible! I dont enjoy being told i'm lazy because of how i write or critiqued by them or being talked down to in public or by email and this is what happened to me. In comparison to slx the staff at second life are a whole lot fairer and slx is like attila the hun next to them ah well is that more subject appropirate? lol I'm wondering why this post is here are they loosing merchants again? lol because honestly promoting a third party site in here is kinda tacky to say the least?

SLEx customer service is pretty good really..other than they don't exist over the weekend. However I put in a query over last weekend and first thing Monday it was resolved with no arguments.

From: BEARintheMorning Holmer Damn Whilhelm, when you're right, you're right. I guess this should be over in the Resident-Run Websites area of the forums. Is there a ResMod in the house?!? Lol I'm harmless honest anyhow i get curious and go peak at slx when something pops up looksl ike they are loosening up on the forums and their draconian rule is over a bit . There is actualy a thread where they are comparing slx to shop on rez. A month ago or so that thread would have been deleted as soon as it hit the board and on top of it apotheus is commenting in it. Maybe the moderators are learning that iron fist ruling actualy doesn't work and that moderation needs to be well.. moderate. Its intresting to watch cause all that "repressed" emotion caused quite an explosion at one point recently. Was funny to watch, but the way it was handled was pretty funny. They lined everyone up and gave them school kiddy type rules on how to post and like one post to a customer to a complaint if you made two you would get abanned. The glee that they were showing upon banning people or warning them was pretty inapprpropriate as well including the open verbal warnings and little school kids talking showed just what they thought of people which was kinda ridiculous and made me wanna well barf... Peopel still look scared though I dont like being scared of the people i pay money to..

yeah, ive been aware that they can be a bit quick on the trigger on the forum there. i dont post there though, so i dont have personal experience in that sense. really all i have to go on is some failed deliveries of $$$, and they cleared that up right quick.

OMGG this makes me laugh, if this were SPAM it would have URL attached to the blog. I posted a question, didnt ask for anyone to read into it just answer the best way possible... Banned, yes I was banned, what for? hell I dont know to be totally honest as the reasons given to me had no logic attached to them. I am not going to explain al the in's & outs & possibly wont ever. But as far as the calls for Spam, its on isle 11 in the canned food section, none here
