My $.02
Best women's shoes for dresses: Shiny Things, L&E, Sylfie Best boots: Shiny Things (more classic) and Nevermore Studios (punk/goth). Also, Callie Cline has very, very well made boots out in the last few weeks. _____________________

Sylfies has the best detailed shoes in SL and she has won many awards to prove it and I have bought over 50 pairs of her shoes, they come with or without sexy walk script in them and I won't shop anywhere else. Her shop is listed in my picks in my profile in game if you want to check her shoes out and trust me you will be addicted ![]() oh definately. I LOVE sylfies stuff. I bought several pair of boots from her and a few shoes too. I make my own boots now for DKs but I still go to sylfie when i want new shoes! digi ![]() _____________________

Womens shoes are everywhere. My problem is finding decent mens shoes. No, thats an understatement. Womans apparell in general totally outweighs mens fashions. Shoes, outfits, hair. Women have this unending selection of stuff to choose from.

There are good shoes for men:
FNKY for Prada-style male shoes. The prim-work and texturing are perfect. KK Outfitters for sport shoes (I've got their Strykers for women, they are excellent). KK Outfitters makes shoes for both genders. Beckenbauer Productions for a more punky style. Excellent work as well. _____________________

Isn't that a great name? It conjures up fairy tale images of a pretty little privileged thing with curly locks and long flowing robes, weeping to herself and all alone in a high tower. and no I'm not comparing you to Paris Hilton. ![]() _____________________

Isn't that a great name? It conjures up fairy tale images of a pretty little privileged thing with curly locks and long flowing robes, weeping to herself and all alone in a high tower. and no I'm not comparing you to Paris Hilton. ![]() Actually, I am a "pretty little privileged thing" (at least my avatar is!) but I have a long bouncy red ponytail (my trademark look - compliments of a Nuclear Boutique freebie. I try a few other hairstyles, but my partner/RL hubby always likes the bouncy pony the best, even with ballgowns. I think it is because it is playful, instead of all highbrow and serious). And I am in no way hiding out weeping in a high tower waiting to be rescued - I'm a modern girl and I AM OUT SHOE SHOPPING!!!! You guys have been great. Who would have thought such a simple and trivial request would have spawned such a lengthy and friendly thread! This is one of the things I really like about SL. I make friends here, and then when you see them in-world, you say "hey, I know you from the forums! I've had it happen, and you make great new friends that way. I'm still shopping - but when I went into Enkythings, I boght a pair IMMEDIATELY, without even looking around the rest of the store yet. I know i definitely need to go back there! And regarding the dearth of male shoes, I hear you. The first few stores on the list did have small sections with some men's shoes. Your best bet is to frequent the designer shops mentioned in this thread, and look for a section where they have some male items. Or contact the designer to request more! Thanks for the help everyone. I'm having fun shopping. Now my poor little princess won't have to wander around barefoot under her gowns! I need to figure out how to upload my av picture to my profile here. And this has been so much more fun than all the frustrated complaints we have about LL right now. Something playful to cheer us up! Happy shopping, everyone! Princess Ivory _____________________

OK, I am a shoe queen for sure, but I'm having trouble finding a specific shoe type/shape. If you're familiar with Dark Eden, what I want is high heel shoes with a shape similar to the Thetis boots...very high, but without a platform base.
![]() I've checked all my usual haunts, including Shiny Things, Sylfie's Prim Seduction, Le Cadre, and a few others, with no success. Any thoughts? _____________________

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things. Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut. |

I like "Betty's" - specialises in 1920 - 1950 styles - but classic and beautifully made. Deira, I couldn't find this store. Is that the actual name of the store? Anyone know where it is and what it's called? Thanks. _____________________

In response to Ann Launay ( I hope I got the spelling correct )

The major problem with creating/designing a pair of very high heels without a platform base is that the avatar doesn't stand on it's tip toes, so you must force it's whole foot up off the ground to the highest point to make the highest heel, thus leaving you a platform. The work-a-round to this is the ballet pose where your avatar is forced to walk on her tip toes, with this pose the avatars foot is walking in that position so the shoes can be made, however you're often left walking on tip toes and the toe is pointed. There's currently no way yet to make the front of the foot lay flat on the ground and raise the avatars heel up high like a real life foot, there are shoes that attempt this but often what you are left with is a shoe that very obviously distorts the foot leaving you looking as if you have ankles and shoes and no feet possibly could fit in them or having the invisible prim base surrounding the shoe giving it it's shape make it appear that your foot is as flat as a sheet of paper inside the shoes, which by the way looks horrid.
So, currently the top shoe designers are doing the best with what they have.. you have a few options though, a regular heel, not too high so the foot still looks normal, or a ballet pose in shoes that look like they're walking on their toes but if you dare dance in that pose you will find your shoes going all funky, because the ballet pose that makes them possible will not work unless you use ballet dances... or thirdly platform heels with high heels that lift the entire foot. Your alternatives after those are all used up are the funky looking shoes that leave you with feet as flat as a piece of paper and Um, if you haven't seen those yet, be thankful you haven't they're very ugly and most women are too picky to dare be seen in shoes that basically give you no feet at all inside them. Hugs to you and good luck and sorry there aren't more choices. ![]() Love, Heart _____________________
