I'm naked

I tried a skin demo and ever since I can't seem to get my avatars clothes back on. my computer runs really slow, so I'm not sure if my avatar is dressed or not. I don't want to offend anyone, but everytime I try to drag clothes onto her, she still looks naked. I log off hoping that when I log back on her clothes will appear. no dice so far

c'mon, help the poor girl! Have you tried clearing your cache? (edit/preferences/network tab --- checkbox). Then relog.

*swats Chas* oh and don't be too anxious about being banned, if you're new people will understand. btw, you don't have to drag the clothes on, if you open inventory you can just right click on what you want and choose "wear". If you do that on a folder, all the clothes in it will go on.

Were you able to remove that skin demo? Try changing the skin and see if it helps?

including the box the clothes came in (if in that folder). Keep the boxes separate (if you keep them), or you will also wear a box. Oh, and if you do that you can lose your hair. I thought it was only supposed to replace the "conflicting" items - put on the new stuff, but it also took everything else off, including my hair.

Do you have a friend who can maybe teleport into wherever you are to let you know if your clothes are showing up on their end? I had an issue when I was new, on my viewer I was wearing a shirt, and my inventory had the shirt as worn, but on other people's viewers I was topless. It was fairly embarrassing, I had just rented my first place and the land owner was sooo nice and helpful with teaching me things about SL, she would sit outside in the community area to talk with me everyday. One afternoon, she was going to teleport someone else in and she said "would you mind putting a shirt on before I TP him?" Imagine the shock I was in when she explained I had been topless for days. I asked another friend who I had seen the day before and he said, yep, topless too. Gee, thanks for telling me. Anyway....I still TP a friend in to check and make sure I am fully clothed at certain times.

Funny people. Enneirda, are your clothes showing in inventory and when you changed back to your normal skin, did it look normal as well? Do you have anything that's not clothing that you are wearing, like hair, flight assist, etc. or anything that you attach instead of wearing? If so, try removing everything and starting from scratch. Does it let you attach jewelry? Any weird messages when you log on, such as "your clothing is loading, but you appear normal to others (you don't, you appear naked and ruthed, but that's what it tells you).

Open your inventory. At the top of the screen, you'll notice a white bar that you can type stuff in. Type in the word "worn" and push enter. Every thing that your avatar is wearing will show up. This will help you find out if you actually ARE wearing clothes and you can't see them, or if you AREN'T wearing clothes, in which case we have a new issue. Keep us posted!

This happened to a friend when we teleported into a club... She had clothes on but no one else could see them. The owner asked us to leave... laughs. Very prudish for a Biker Club.

Clearing her cache fixed it for her.

Actually, I haven't seen a biker bar in SL yet. I never thought to look. Since I'm afraid to go in one in RL, now's my chance. I'm looking them up tonight! That could be a pretty fun RP. Who's with me? Forum Cartel Members? We can call ourselves "The Cartel of Pie" or something equally intimidating (/me laughs at his own joke) and wreck the place.

I definitely want a biker bar where if women show up naked, nobody gets offended. That's the first sign that you're in the wrong bar. Not that there's anything wrong with that...

I've been to biker bars that wouldn't want to see women naked. Then again, they really wouldn't want women there at all.

Biker bars can be a blast in RL... I remember this place with a small dance floor a loud band and a big biker, drunk out of his head, dancing on his back. Literally... I am pretty sure I would not take a naked woman there however.

Hey, Trout! I was just thinking that a cartel biker bar would be a great place to hold that contest from the other thread.

In fact, that might be a good reason to go premium ... if you haven't used your tier, we could get a 1024 on the mainland, and keep it for free. Plenty big enough! Get it roadside, I'm sure Figgie or someone could help find a place not too laggy.

And a biker bar don't care about the view.
