Shopping Trip!!!

Ok, forgive me for taking over on this one...if you'd rather do this, you are welcome to just push me out of the way lol.

Looking at the prettiest skin thread, it seems like there is call for another Forum Shopping Trip.
For those who are not familiar with this, the basic idea is to go out in a group and descend upon some poor unsuspecting stores and their owners and buy to our hearts' content. Probably make their week

Last time, I don't think I organised it fantastically lol. it all went a bit haywire, and we lost a few people on the way. It was fun though. So this time, I think I've come up with a plan.
Again, just shout if you don't like it.

Right, so we can either just go shopping for one type of item (ie skins or shapes etc) if there is a large call for it, or we can just choose a random selection of maybe....6 stores which seem to be the place the majority wish to visit.

I'm also going to just grab this opportunity to remind people of the Cartel Business Notecard which can be grabbed from the hangout...still working on the online version, but the card is updated regularly and has a list of stores owned by the people in the inworld Forum Cartel Group.

This thread is for people to let me know their ideas....I'll keep up with it, and try to keep everyone updated as to where we are up to. I'll also arrange dates in here, but will send out a group notice for those who can't or don't or won't read the thread.


So, first order of business: Suggestions on places to shop. Do you need that one item? New Skin? The perfect dress? A fabbity pair of shoes? Do you want us to all go out as a group looking for shoes? Or is there 2 or 3 different stores you particularly wish to visit and/or want to share?What about a freebie hunt, the best freely available freebies/dollarbies in SL?
Bear in mind this will be a group thing, so majority rules. Not everyone is likely to get exactly what they want first time round...
Speak up, and we can get this thing rolling...

Here's a couple of ideas...

Skin trip. Say, about six skin stores. Maybe more, if everyone agrees that we'll just storm in, pick up demos, and rush off to the next one. Or fewer, and take our time, get feedback..."does this make my shoulderblades stand out too much?"

Fall Fashions. The weather's turning cooler. Maybe it's time to look for jackets, sweaters, and...mmm, furs. And warm but wicked boots!

Dance-a-rama. Sine Wave, Animazoo, and a couple other dance makers. Pick up some hot new moves.

Personally, I would vote shoe shopping, but CC keeps bankrupting me...



um times are going to be an issue....its going to have to be late for the euros and maybe early for the US-ers. Mayb two trips again? but with the same plan of attack so noone misses anything?
maybe....12 noon SLT for the Euros (thats like 8pm GMT)
and....6pm SLT for the US? or is that still too early?

i want to give as much notice as possible too

For shopping, 6:00 pm SLT is almost always good for me and noon SLT is even good on a Sat or Sun.


However, my preference for the arranged date time would be something around 6:00 or 7:00 pm SLT (assuming the timezone of my arranged date is compatible) -- I can be flexible.

If we do it on a weekend, 12:00 SLT should work for almost everyone
Noon - CA
3 pm - East Coast USA
8 pm - UK
midnite - Gabriele and Tegg and the Down Under folk

About the times, I'm happy with one trip, but if people would prefer two, thats fine too. I was planning on a weekend anyway, since its generally easier.

One question though if it is going to be a weekend; I know its really cheeky of me to ask, but do you guys mind if we delay it until the weekend after next (Saturday 27th) or is that too late? Its just I'm away next weekend, and I would really, really like to be here for it...
If you would rather do next weekend though, thats fab too, I'm not gonna refuse to help out or anything cause of it...
