For all those who are in the club scene... This certainly is an eye opener especially those who have been around a long time..
Give it a read..

I love these stories in their various versions. This is the type of things local news teams keep around for slow news days. Time spent waiting on hold. Time spent in traffic. Stuff like that are always fun little tidbits. Much better than the "germs are everywhere" stories where a reporter will swap down bathroom stalls or grocery store carts or bar-stools and test for bacteria. Anyway, thanks for the link

This guy and his partner are really too good to work for any club owner just out for profit. They need to open a small venue and run it with class and dedication. Big is not always better.

Why does anyone use white type on a black background? Maybe black on a black background would work better for you? |

Why does anyone use white type on a black background? Actually my Glaucoma means white on black background is much easier to read ![]() If paper would be black the world would be a lot better for many of us. It's like traffic light colors green is actually the easiest color for many partially blind people to see, so green should be used for stop not go ![]() _____________________

New owner asked key staff to remain, they didn't. They went back to socialise, things got heated and the key staff were banned. The club was griefed and one of the key staff are blamed even though they (the author) claim they didn't even have access to SL on two occassions. The club and mall are now on the decline.

ya it is ..i stopped myself..it sounds like behind the scenes club drama.. it's too early on a Sunday morning for a long read like that.. I know..let's get Phil to do a summary for us ![]() he's good at that ![]() Basically, it's the tale of someone who rose to the management heights in someone else's club, and decided to leave the club later on. Around the time he left, the club was sold to someone else. After he left, he was wrongly blamed for a number of things that went on in and with the club, including the removal of the build by the builder. It seems to be written for anyone who has an actual interest in the club's drama, and isn't really of any interest to a bystander. And that's about it, except to say that, although yellow on black is supposed to be the easiest colour combination to read, I have to say that white on black is more difficult to read on a monitor than black on white. _____________________

The club and mall are now on the decline. ya that happens a lot.. I used to be head manager of a pretty big club in sl myself.. i left the club on my own..a few others had decided to leave that day after i had..so everyone thought it was some master plan or something when actually i was on my own..So they decided to grief the club and other things to cause drama.. just so happens while they were doing these thing my computer had died before hand from the keyboard cord getting wrapped around my foot and me pulling it off the stand LOL so when i came back a couple weeks later i found myself blamed for all kinds of crap LOL i explained to the owner and i was never banned and we are actually still good friends to this day.. but i had a feeling this story was sounding like a lot of other club stories ![]() Thank you for the Summary ![]() _____________________

lol. Alright, but I did skim some of it. Basically, it's the tale of someone who rose to the management heights in someone else's club, and decided to leave the club later on. Around the time he left, the club was sold to someone else. After he left, he was wrongly blamed for a number of things that went on in and with the club, including the removal of the build by the builder. And that's about it, except to say that, although yellow on black is supposed to be the easiest colour combination to read, I have to say that white on black is more difficult to read on a monitor than black on white. LOL i like dark backgrounds myself..and yellow is good too for the text..but not the other way around.. And thank you for the summary too hehehehe ![]() _____________________

I once dropped an emerald earring by accident down a loo. All I did was reach down, grab it, rinse it off and put it back on. Didnt do me any harm.
Is that what this is about coz I'm too lazy (or busy) to check the thingy. _____________________

The blog certainly is named appropriately: Wastedtimez. Gah...I can understand dedication to SL ventures but according to this saga the person involved sacrificed a lot of things in RL and never received any remuneration.

I actually read the entire story, and one thing that struck me as interesting was this:
In a couple of places the author of this post says he told people where to find information (which he states he himself compiled) about how to do the things that were done to disrupt club operations. If this person was so devoted to the club like he stated, even to the point of claiming he was still very devoted to it after leaving all groups associated with the club, then why was he giving people all the tools needed to cause the amount of disruption that they did? Smells just a little bit fishy to me. *shrug* |
