Well, here is one resource, but I would guess there are others.

Own, someone here in the forums has been work dilligently on creating a map of the mainlands but unfortunately I can't credit them because I can't get search to work. I've dropped you a copy in world though.

Edit: It's Carl Metropolitan that's worked so hard on getting these maps together. Great job too.

If you look around New Citizens Plaza, there is a big map of the whole SL world with the names of the continents (although one is still known as the Un-named Continent). This map on a board is copyable, or buyable for 0L$, can't remember which. Anyway, I have a copy of it up on the wall at the Egotherapy Centre.

For a live (well, at least fairly recent) map of the whole grid, go to the Land Sales section of the SL website.

A little more on this:

Carl distributes his gorgeous mainland maps on a prim which is actually an automatically-updating kiosk. Just click on either map at NCI and you will get a prim with the map, and if he updates the map your prim will automatically update. Here's what they look like: /327/9e/213330/1.html#post1696150

They are, however, only maps of mainland, and do not include the islands (which have roughly 4 times the landmass as mainland now). I imagine one could put together a meaningful island map that included major island groups and important shared resources, and leave out the huge number of truly private islands, and have a single map that was useful.

I found a really cool map of the grid on the coffee table in the foyer of the office on the "Linden Estate Services" sim. It is Jack Linden's "Jack's Map O' The Gridde." Anyone know if it is possible to get a copy of this map anywhere?
