Yesterday I was in a beach and there where some people with a dialogue that concerns me. The original dialog was in Portuguese. I've made a translation of it, as follows: From: someone [2009/09/20 12:59] person A: person B [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: I will put a skin and you say what you think [2009/09/20 13:00] person B: OK [2009/09/20 13:00] person B: we can go there and I help you to take a cool one [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: I've bought already the demos that I like [2009/09/20 13:00] person B: are you afraid that that thing is true? [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: i don't mind [2009/09/20 13:00] person B: i don't have any fear [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: i've already made another av to let my money with [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: so... [2009/09/20 13:00] person A: grins [2009/09/20 13:00] person B: oh, not me [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: my money stays with this one [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: i don't care [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: i would make another av [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: mu things too [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: me too [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: so are mine [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: and i do like this skin [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: if things go wrong [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: but i don't think that will go bad [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: pity for the things that I've bought [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: that is [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: this way they would have to ban everyone [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: not only me [2009/09/20 13:01] person C: I was trying to create another av and they asked me for a paypal [2009/09/20 13:01] person C: did you make it already? [2009/09/20 13:01] person A: paypal? [2009/09/20 13:01] person B: what? [2009/09/20 13:02] person B: i don't even know what is this, person C [2009/09/20 13:02] person C: lol [2009/09/20 13:02] person D: good afternoon, person E
At this time, when person E arrived, they started to chat about other things. It seems clear to me that they where talking about something take could lead them to be banned, if caught, most probably copybotting items (skins in the case, but surely it wouldn't stop in 1 or 2 skins stolen). Is this sufficient for an AR?

If I understand what they are saying correctly... Aren't there a lot of people who use an alt as a "bank?"

Pep (Do LL have Portuguese translators? I doubt it.) There are translators for Portugese, we use them on our orientation sim. They aren't very good though and the mentors nearly always post in the Mentor group chat, looking for a mentor who speaks Portugese when they are helping a new resident who speaks it.

It does not sound like copybotting.
It sounds like two people talking about choosing a skin. One had already bought some demos. And for some reason one wanted to make a new av but did not want to use paypal.
As it stands I don't see anything untoward.

As it stands I don't see anything untoward. I'm pretty sure the coded subtext here is about child avis in SL . . . Or about Pep. I'm not sure which.

From: Batman Abbot I'm very suspicious of person E. That whole SIM sounds a little dodgy. They gotta all be in the nude. I bet a few sex balls are floating around. Could be we should MassARcre the whole lot. Hey, I invented a word!

(cue dramatic music) They were Pepping. The moment someone turns on those translators he appears like Mephistopheles.

/me races Jig to Urban Dictionary... I have got home in real and am drawn to Forum and not to mails and phones. This is called "being SLedged - dragged away from real work by the lure of forums despite digging in heels"

I suspect low-prim furniture was involved.

I meant that I doubt if LL have permanent Portuguese interpreters on the staff. Pep ("Translator" = human being. ) PS The rest of you are killing me today! PPS Wasn't "Talk Like a Pirate Day" last week? It was compulsory to "AR" then!

The most frightening thing about this post...
The phrase "Can I AR".... not "Should I AR".

From: Pserendipity Daniels I meant that I doubt if LL have permanent Portuguese interpreters on the staff. They do have them now, LL will take tickets in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish. It's not 24 hour coverage, so they don't make any promises for live chat or phone support.

From: Pserendipity Daniels I meant that I doubt if LL have permanent Portuguese interpreters on the staff. Maybe its just my Sim, but it seems like the second most dominant language in SL is Portuguese... None of the landowners, but about half the people I see wandering around speak in that language. Someday I'll stop one and ask exactly which country she's from.

I've seen a lot of Portugese as well. German is another language I seem to run into quite frequently.
