Ok, so the latest RC has replaced Ruth with a ghostly cloud effect. We'll need a new name for it, how about Casper?

There is a thread on SLU asking what term should be used for the new effect. I will say the same thing here I offered there.

I say "Smoked" in honor of all the joints the Lindens have smoked.

I never gave it much thought
will probably still use the term Ruthed as it is now part of SL for me, even if they look like a cloud

they are still ruth to me

(I guess if a newbie who did not know what Ruth meant, I would say that they are cloudy)

so I guess...

Ruthed would be my first choice
and cloudy would be my second

coming in third is hazy

yeah I got weather on the brain

been weird weather here last few days

bit hazy, some clouds, then rain, then sun
temps going from 100+ to about 50

*sigh*

I still like cloudy and hazy LOL

No she is not completely gone. As long as I stay on one of the old Nicholaz viewers that I currently have, Ruth will forever be a part of my SL.

This will probably be a matter of popular usage, much the way 'ruthed' has been.

I'd think that yelling "Hey! You're totally smoked, man" would be more fun to yell in a club than "you're cloudy" or "you've rezzed as the spirit of Ruth". Things like Son of Stimpy are a whole lot of fun but how often is "Look, it's the son of Stimpy" funny, especially given the high female avatar population?
"hazed" has a nice ring.

In any case, it will be interesting to see which of these terms will catch on and stick. I have the feeling that "ruthed" among the 'oldbies' is going to stick for quite some time.
