Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the tools menu is missing?

Then why do I have an eye strain headache in less than an hour with "dazzle" when I can be on for 4 to 6 hours at a time with the old color scheme with no trouble at all?

Thanks Thraxis, I'll give your files a look as soon as I can.

A black background behind light text makes my eyes feel like they are being sucked out of the sockets and it can mess up my vision for several minutes. Trying to read text on a black background does not give my eyes more comfort, it hurts them. Here's a related quote from Jason Harrison at the University of British Columbia:

"People with astigmatism (aproximately 50% of the population) find it harder to read white text on black than black text on white. Part of this has to do with light levels: with a bright display (white background) the iris closes a bit more, decreasing the effect of the "deformed" lens; with a dark display (black background) the iris opens to receive more light and the deformation of the lens creates a much fuzzier focus at the eye."

I could find many more instances but I am at work and can't play. :-)

Most web designers know that black backgrounds are a not a good idea.

Shouldn't be suich a stretch to make the %&# viewer skinnable.

At least let us choose in Preferences which appearance we prefer. Hell, Winamp has had that for YEARS.

*tap tap* Is this thing on? Lindens listening?

Having selectable skins is what LL is moving towards. All the initial work on Dazzle has been to abstract out all the hard-coded colors and images to even allow you to make a replacement skin "in-place" as it currently exists.

Bump... for those that may not have seen this but may want to try a not so dazzling Dazzle.

Also, for those who would like to have a choice of skins, please vote for...
