Yes, I'm aware that the Huffington Post is a little biased, but they do have audio of Limbaugh's comments.

He was a lot less of a scumbag before all the OxyContin.

When giving make sure the charity is solid. And the connection to it of the representative begging for funds.

Sad to say but this type of thing brings opportunists out of the woodwork.


Agreed.

Please do your homework before you give make sure the charity is well known and respected.

The International Red Cross probably wouldn't be a bad place to start.

I remember very well after Katrina all the scams in world soliciting donations hurting the legitimate ones that were in world. Although I was offline for the better part of a week after Katrina due to lack of power/internet. When I got back it was almost stomach turning to see such a horror turned into a scam.

Having gone through the Katrina mess I can tell you first hand. These people NEED help. There is real potential for more people to die of disease, exposure, lack of food and clean water than have already died from the quake itself.

Not to make light of the situation in Haiti, but isn't this a 'resident answers' forum for people to post questions about SL and not discuss current events?
