Blogs just announced that LL will auction approx 4 more sims a day.
Are they needed with all the yellow covering the grid already.

Well I thought about that Raymond...it was the only reason i could think that LL would release more land atm....they needed money....but....
How fecking short sighted can they be????

I sometimes wonder if theyre not being short-sighted but have a cunning plan to drive sim owners out of the land sale/rental business.

Well if people didn't need more land we wouldn't keep buying it

So if we get back to the situation where mini landbarons with 4 or 5 unsold empty sims are still bidding against each other tooth & nail, so no end users can buy direct, so be it

Beside with the number of abandoned sims LL has to try and do something with them after recycling.

Beside with the number of abandoned sims LL has to try and do something with them after recycling.

It is going to be VERY interesting to see if the handful of buyers who bid up the sims pre-haitus will be back at it again tomorrow, or if time and tier have taken their toll and the auctions get little action.

When sims are overcrowded it causes poor frame rates and network lag. Do we really want 16 residents per sim?. Why would anybody want that?.

We need lots of mainland sims to help make SL look and feel nice.

Really the average resident, couldn't care less if 90% of the map is yellow, it doesn't hurt those who have land or don't want it

Only ones it effects are those that buy to sell for quick profit.

(For the literal minded no, char as in TEA. Not a cup of fish. And a cup of fish is way overused as an attempt at surrealism ...).

Actually, and on topic, will have to see how the auctions go. If they are not STUPIDLY hyperinflated this time round then it's maybe time we went for it and became concierge again. Maybe. I want the land ... I don't want the VAT ... urgh.
